How’s that happen if they only sell what they are getting, unless there’s tons of damages or shortages? Even then, they can’t even send one?
I agree with this 100% as well, that topic was a great resource for finding out which retailers ran good businesses and to see actual results on shipping/packaging/etc. We now don’t have that resource available anymore. Also it’s not right to have affiliate links with ONLY one retailer (tfaw) and shut down topics when people post negative things, most likely due to using those affiliate links and then having a bad order, extremely sketch to shut down now 2 separate topics due to this by the same moderator.
To stay on topic, that SW insider wasn’t a ratio variant right? Just an foc variant?

Yeah I ordered black widow 6 before foc and it never showed up for any of my shipments then it got canned lol
Insider is just a variant no ratio. And the Mando and Ahsokas have sold for additional money. I’ve sold some Mando Momoko covers to Star Wars Black Series collectors for $20. Haven’t got my Ashoka covers from Tfaw yet to sell em.
It seems to me they may be over selling a little, expecting to be able to re-up later. But when it’s a hot book, the bottom falls out.

Ahsoka is a cool cover, i liked it. I sold them for cover price and people were buying 2+ at a time.
Not so sure about this cover, but seems like a lot of people don’t realize these are available and just catch them on eBay when they pop up.

My BW6 was cancelled too. Ordered Feb. 8 PreFOC, one copy.
On a ‘new variant’ note, any reviews on the Godkiller 2nd print variant ? Is this a good read ? Read somewhere that it was optioned for a movie ? Interesting cover …
Pre-ordered the 1st ptg as a cover buy at the time. Surprised to see it doing well. Might wanna read it now and the previous series before it.
This week’s diamond books processed tonight. Whatever they did seems to have corrected the problem.
Thought about ordering it but I think it will still be available for sale later on TFAW (see the Momoko #200 issue for $5). Of course, if speculating you may need it now …
Not the case at all. They processed the copies they got. There were shortages/damages. They requested from Diamond the replacements. Diamond had no more as sold out at the distributer level. Hot books sell out faster at Diamond because stores put in more orders.
I got my copies of BW 6 from tfaw when that week processed.
They just seem shorted or receive damages or are late with the hot non-ratios. I’ve just never seen anywhere else have those problems almost every week.
Their entire orders have been late. Has nothing to do with hot books.
I order a couple hundred books a month from them and I don’t think I’ve ever not received at least one copy of a hot non ratio (that wasn’t allocated) from them. I always order well before FOC.
What didn’t you receive other then BW 6 that wasn’t allocated and you ordered prior to FOC?
When you order pallets of books every week with how crappy diamond ships, there are going to be lots of damages every week.
Can anyone on CHU let us know if they received BW6, if they ordered Post-FOC ?
Orders are filled in the order they are received. So if you said you ordered pre FOC and didn’t get it, those who ordered after wouldn’t have.
I got my copies, but I ordered well before FOC.

I long received my books so I couldn’t tell you the exact date. But I typically order 1-2 months prior to FOC.
This is true. Their shipping is, to me, insane. I don’t know their statistics, but I’ve had some crazy shipments come through that you would just blow up at an eBay seller for shipping that way. It must be worth it to them, but I think as a business person, long run it doesn’t work out so well (as we all know now). Defects are defects…plain and simple. They might be small, minor, unnoticeable in the beginning, but over time, if you let it get out of control, customers will complain, and the business will shift.
That being said, they have been extremely quick about filling incentives and books that were damaged that I wanted replacements for. Time will tell. I‘ll be excited to get my first PRH order in to see how they ship books…could be just more of the same! Never know!
