@RipCityGamer, just to clarify because some people have hit me up asking that they think ratio variants are gonna go up in price from TFAW’s normal ratio prices. The way I read your response and Spencer’s that @thefallenone posted is, these ratio variants should have never gotten the pre-FOC type of discount, right? They should have just been priced at TFAW’s set ratio price like all other retailers do. Is this correct?

Forgot this one:

Nyx #1 (Cover S - 11 Copy FOC Ken Haeser Greyscale Original Variant)

And this one:

Nyx #1 (Cover J - 40 Copy Besch B&W Virgin Variant)

House of Slaughter #1 (2nd Ptg Cover C - 10 Copy Lee & Chung Variant)

But, isn’t that kind of an odd approach to announcing the change? Saying things were mistakenly wrong for the past year and a half? Probably much longer than that. That’s just how long I’ve been using TFAW.

Isn’t the truth of the matter that TFAW is just removing the discount from their incentives now? Basically a price increase? I mean, that’s ok. Increases happen.

My probably wrong take: that HOS 2nd print 1:10 will be the hottest book of all the HOS 1 variants.

@thefallenone I’LL MEET YOU OUTSIDE!

I corrected my earlier post. I was wrong and just mis-read what was told to me. Some incentives are discounted, some aren’t. THAT has always been the case that some have discounts turned off if they heat up or are selling out quick enough to sell out without the discount.

none of the one listed today had any discounts that i saw

It doesn’t look like anything added today was discounted

the threat about pricing them at market value is funny, maybe 1 or 2 incentives a week spike, you will be stuck with the rest just like midtown.

The Star Wars Life Day #1 1:10 (Sprouse Variant) had the standard 20% FOC TFAW discount

There’s a lot of retailers who haven’t learned this yet

Or they would sell when they get to the 50% off, or 75% off. And ultimately it would take an actual try at it to see which way is better. (Selling the few that spike higher, or selling more of them lower. I think it would mainly depend on which ones spike and how many come in. But considering it’s USUALLY Marvel or DC that seem to spike there’s a lot more of those than Image/Boom/IDW/etc)

@thefallenone looking at the back end it looks like most things should have been discounted. I can ask the devs to run the indexes maybe they got caught up during maintenacne earlier.
