Yep but with FoC on the 2nd print being before the 1st print comes out the 1:25 Second print will probably be rarest.
Bill/Econ doesn’t typically talk many store exclusives, he typically talks only ratio variants. So stuff like the Jon Boy or Kirkham Codex 27 covers he wouldn’t discuss.
And with no 1:25 or 1:50 and no Codex on the A/B, the 1:100 of the non exclusive covers is the easy winner. Until we get that 2nd print cover and if they use the right cover that 1:25 on the second print could be interesting.
Remember a lot of the market doesnt look at the store exclusives and only count the regular Marvel issues.

They split the buy in and they split the books accordingly.
Let’s say they pay the artist $1,000 to create the cover, then they pay Marvel $5 per copy to print them.
Marvel requires around 4000-4500 copies to be made. Generally, this is split up at 3000 trades and 1000-1500 virgins.
Then the shops that are “partners” split the inventory to sell.
Including the ratios they qualify for.
How they split it up number wise is between them. But typically if they say a print run is 3000 trade, 1250 virgin, that’s split between the partner stores.
Rarely do those numbers get released.
One of the few I’ve ever seen release actual numbers is Frankies Comics where are times (not always) he will come out and say I’ve got X trades and X virgin sets of the 3000/1250. He typically partners with Golden Apple, Mutant Beaver and Comics Kingdom in Canada, and I think one of the UK stores iirc.
Lately though it appears with demand he’s been raising printing and not announcing numbers always.
I still can’t get past the fact that out of the entire book, the thing that stood out to him is that Anne Weying is back… something isn’t adding up. I have a few cover A’s ordered, but I think I’d rather hunt Venom 25 2nd prints.

I wouldn’t put any value in his “opinion” on what’s important as I wouldn’t for any YouTuber. It’s his last two scoops that matter, which is different from his opinion. Give me info, and I will form my own opinion.
I agree With you that 1st full Codex has a lot more potential then Anne as Agent Venom.

First of all, why are we talking about Robin King in a Venom Codex topic? We got a Robin King topic already.
Secondly, I always leaned towards, the Robin King in DM2, Legends and DM3 was always going to be the same Robin/Bruce, etc. Not sure why you’re saying one is right and one is wrong… But this is also speculation, everyone is wrong until they’re right after more facts come out.

Normally when retailers add such high ratios at the last minute, it means the amount of books pre-ordered is on the heavier side rather than the lighter side. It’s sort of like a bonus in Kickstarter… hey look, we hit the 100k mark, let’s reward them with a 1:100 so they maybe buy even more… let’s reach for the 150k mark now…
I guess I’ll be the “bah humbug” fellow on this book. Sure I like it, always love Venom. This Codex fellow looks intriguing.
The thing is, regardless of this new “scoop”, the book didn’t catch anyone by surprise. Was anyone not ordering it? Symbiote Avenger dudes=meh, Anne as Agent venom=meh, no reveal of Virus=meh, & although this Codex is in the book, we still don’t know jack about him and we’ve already established his first cover is not this book.
Venom #25 1st and 2nd, and even #26 had outside factors which really helped them. Covid/ordering and the ramp up of back to business still impacted those. I’m not diminishing Covid now…but I don’t believe Venom #27 was impacted and that book is going to be readily available and back to full force.
Again, I bought it, I ordered some of the variants, really looking forward to it, but I’ll be putting my extra dollars into other books or issues that I honestly think are much better plays.
Yeah, I need more coffee

Is it me or does Codex just come off looking like Winter Soldier with the mask and long hair… Maybe it’s just a future Winter Soldier who now leads the Symbiote Avengers…

It’s not just you… Btw has anyone tried to piece together the various codex variants previously released to see if there’s a connection to the character?
Sounds exhausting… and yes, I would not be surprised if Donny went on to mess with everyone and Codex is Bucky… just like Cosmic Ghost Rider turned out to be Frank Castle…
