Nocterra

He has at least 25 issues written already. I’ll find the article.

I said “published”. Proof of concept for Hollywood. If you can’t see why the book was created and how short of a time it took to sell it to Hollywood without multiple years of stories published, idk what to tell you…

Oh you did, didn’t you lol.

My closest shop is extremely conservative on new books (tiny store), he had a stack of Nocterra #1 on the shelf as of last week. Every store I have gone by has stacks of #1. 2nd print on the other hand had articles like the following

Yeah… if I was a shop, I wouldn’t buy additional prints until all the first prints were gone. That’s just bad for business buying more inventory that isn’t moving quickly…

The 2nd printing of Issue #1 of Nocterra has a much better looking cover in my own opinion.

The king of option dreams - Sixth Gun.

I actually thought this was a good story, and have the whole series. The connected mini-series was also good. Made a few good sales on this title.

And then the bombs, in addition to the ones listed above - Nowhere Men, Bedlam, Black Acre, Great Pacific, Manifest Destiny, Black Beetle and many more - Bad losses ! very wary of the glut of new titles.

I think for Nocterra, sell a few or more while hot, to break even and make a little profit, and then hold a few for later (higher profit maybe).

The only book I see now that might be worth heavily investing in (from a TV option) is Something is Killing the Children.
I do have some hope for Y the Last Man - great story, and trailer looks like they may capture the feel of the book. But it may not be everyones cup of tea.

I love Locke and Key but havent seen any TV episodes (Anyone ?)

The Nice House on the Lake probably has the best chance to be made into a successful tv show or movie .

id add last of us comics to that, with cast and crew it has a real shot of being next GoT/ WD level show

I think Last of Us could still pan out. Were there any trailers ? I didnt see any and I know the zombie schtick has been done to death, but this was an awesome comic read.

That Texas Blood started as a screenplay.

Good start but I’m going to reserve judgement till the later issues and the ending.

Was it good ? Really loved the comics.

The Boys is great but didnt translate to much bump for the comics, unless you sold early. Maybe Herogasm might see a bump.

Why are prices for cover A of Radiant gone up?I thought people have given up on the series?

I really liked Locke & Key! I’ve never read the comics either. It was a really fun, crazy show.

All I can say is that the series has been good so far.

there still filming, i suspect a trailer in dec/jan

So …. After reading issue #1 of Nocterra I felt it had legs. Good story. Good characters. Good art. I added a bunch of copies of #1, and add multiples in each issue. I like the odds on this one. Grading? Naw. If it were to take off and really be big like WD, then sure. Else - maximize raw values is a better strategy IMO. I wouldn’t sell any now. But that’s just me.

Whether it does get made into a show/movie or not, it’s a quite good comic.
