Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney Plus Speculation - SPOILERS

I read them…and still have them…quite forgettable as I can’t remember a single detail.

You can just leave them in the bag and boards… you’re missing nothing! In fact, just go ahead and drop them off at the local half price books…

If George really cared about his “envision” which also changed on his watch, he would have never sold the rights!

I enjoyed the heck out of the show! As far as the continuity of New Hope to everything that’s being released now - of course there isn’t a lot of continuity. The first Star Wars was written as a standalone movie with a true ending in case the movie failed. While Lucas had written a bunch of other Star Wars stuff, there was no guarantee it was going to be made or released.

Some of y’all need to unpucker and just enjoy the shows for what they are. Except Book of Boba. That one sucked (except for the two episodes that didn’t feature Boba).

Harrison Ford was actually kinda pissed it didn’t flop.

@Pittsburgh for President 2024!

Especially considering that, unless this has been debunked, he’s the only one who didn’t sign off on a merchandising agreement.

Ford’s net worth is around $300 million… doubt he cares that much.

He was living off American Graffiti money back then.

I got the impression when he asked them to kill him off in the Force Awakens that he just doesn’t like playing the role as Han Solo. Pretty certain he was just done with the franchise back in the 80s and someone with some super magic got him to come back.

A super magic fat check!

“Harrison Ford made $20 million for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Ford earned $500,000 for Return of the Jedi, $100,000 for Empire and only $10,000 for the original Star Wars in 1977.”

Maybe he felt he was due some cash now… and then he’s like… make sure I die cause I’m DONE WITH YOU CRAZY PEOPLE AND YOUR LIGHTSABERS! :stuck_out_tongue:

Finally watching this, up through episode 3 so far and I’m really liking it. Not sure why so many are being so hard on it.

The best part of the series was when Darth Vader was killing everyone with ease. Quite disturbing as it was also women and children. The actress who played Leia was fantastic as well. I’m impatiently waiting for Dr Aphra to finally make it to the big screen.

We need a solo Vader show that introduces Aphra who then goes on to get her own spinoff series. That’s how it needs to pan out and I’m dumping all my DV3, so buy them now folks if you haven’t secured your copy, that book is going to have another mini-explosion in the future when Aphra does show up.

Wait for it…

No wonder the show felt hollow…

We all knew it was supposed to be a movie, and Solo killed it. But a trilogy is news.

I’d like to see the story told how Obi-wan comes to terms with knowing he will some day be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice. Might be a little slow now that he’s officially a hermit in a sea of sand, though.

I think if you take the Kenobi novel and the Journal of Ben Kenobi comics in total and look at what he could accomplish on Tatooine, there’s enough material there to make an interesting Space-hermit western.

However, whether people admit it or not, they want off Tatooine. I’d personally prefer Lucasfilm spend its resources expanding the universe. I’m more excited for the continued building of the Space Avengers Mandalorian storyline.

New characters please. Rogue One was fantastic. It took a concept we heard about, but built a massive new story around it that had real consequences and loss. I cared for those characters far more than any in Mando/Boba/Obi-Wan.
