100% accurate.

People keep claiming they gain an hour but in reality, you’re just getting back the hour that was stolen from you back in March.

Yes. You deposit the hour into daylight savings account and then withdraw it later. Problem is for parents we keep banking that hour and never really get it back.

I feel like that hour in March they take away is a lot harder to adjust to than the hour they give back later…

Yeah, losing the hour in the spring is much harder for sure. But it does take a week to get use to it getting darker much earlier. Just wish they’d do away with it all, it actually costs more than it saves.

I think it’s such BS to say “you get more daylight hours.” No you don’t. It’s not like the tilt of the earths axis changes or the rotation slows down. You can set your alarm earlier if you want to make the most of available dayligbt.

It’s actually been linked to more deaths. Save lives! END DST!!!

There was no one out voting when I went out, no wait, no line.

I voted the 2nd day early voting was available, as I’m out of town today. Zero line. It was awesome!

I did early voting on a day it wasn’t too busy and took only 40 minutes. Some days it was quite a line. Lots of polling stations today I happen to drive past did not appear too crazy busy, perhaps due to all the early voting. Get out and vote if you didn’t already and are a citizen (sorry, Canadian group members, you don’t vote today).

I voted 3 weeks ago, thinking a random late afternoon Tuesday would mean no wait. I was surprised by a 20 minute wait and a continual line, with a steady stream of cars dropping off mail ballots as well. I’m not in a swing state so it’s good to know many people were motivated anyway.

State and Local elections are always worth a voter’s time!

Good luck to everyone who voted and I hope everybody’s side wins!

Well, that election sure did happen. On to the next topic, I suppose.

This is a good time to remind everyone what they agree to when posting to these forums.

No politics/religion whatsoever, even topics that are borderline that lead to political hot topics. Sorry, they never end well on an online forum so just leave it at the door.

Sorry @monopolyjackson, but as such I’ll need to remove your post as a precaution in the interest of the above.

I’m leaving posts that encouraged others to vote, as the message is a positive one which does not favor either side and everyone was respectful and kept it at that.

Anybody participate in the Las Vegas online auction today? 1000+ lots. Crazy deals. I know a Batman Adventures 12 CGC 9.8 went for $700.

I ended up with 9 lots. Lots of Department of Truth slabs.

My favorite might be this one, signed by JT4 and Martin Simmonds for $35 (pre-ship):

And two of these:

And three of these:

No. What is this honey hole of an auction? You didn’t tell us about it.

I saw it advertised on Facebook or something. Either a shop or more likely, a major collector purged his whole collection. And, it was MASSIVE. People that were willing to spend big made out like bandits. I’m usually too chicken to do that.

We’ll see if they all arrive in a wet envelope beat to hell.
