Apparently it is a unique comic set in the universe of Cul-De-Sac that is being given away. I guess giving it away helps avoid any accusations of conflict of interest from a comic spec app doing a comic.
Speaking of, when we doing an official CHU-sponsored comic we all get free copies of to relentlessly promote and flip?

This cracks me up…there is zero issue when they pump a book, one of their associates highlights a book, but when they’re late to the game they throw this out there.
Doesn’t this statement pretty much apply to all spec type, flavor of the week books?
It’s a first appearance of a pretty interesting villain and a really cool cover… that’s all it takes with a dash of FOMO.
As I recall, they posted something like this for Supergirl #1 by T. King…that books went on to blow up further and hold value.

KCC did the same thing with the “buyer beware, market manipulation” thing with Beneath The Trees when it first came out. They were also late to the game on that one. It would help if they actually read the issue first before putting that out.

The book showed up on KcC and Covrprice this week. Covrprice took a more normal stand while KCCis calling fraud.
