Online Comic Store Report Card

Yes you will. Still waiting on my signed Batman who laughes #1 book lol

If this is the one: Df Dark Ages #1 Cgc Graded

It is indeed graded by Dynamic Forces and it will take a bit of time for it to get graded, then make it’s way to Diamond onto the retailer. If you ever want to complain about slow shipping, Dynamic Forces make TFAW look like they operate at the speed of light… :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol

I agree and pretty disappointing to see all those books sit for weeks and never process, some are close to 2 months past release date.

You can add some Venom #35 books to your cart. The JSC 1:50 ratio has one up available for pre order?. But none of mine have processed except the CVR A Stegman. Frustrating…

Venom #35 search

@Bluecontroller That is what Customer service told me…shorted/or damages and waiting on replacements.

I haven’t checked this particular thread in awhile, and I know how bad Comicxposure is, but I couldn’t resist because I saw a few books at a decent price (and they aren’t “hot” books so theres little chance they cancel solely to resell at a higher price). Still, it’s been 2 weeks with nary an update, and no responses to my emails. Does anyone know how long they’ve waited for a Comicxposure order? I’m just wondering how long I need to wait before opening a claim. I took the risk so I don’t need to be told how I made a mistake, etc., I’m just wondering what their average fulfillment time is, if anyone knows. Thanks.

Just go ahead and start the dispute/claim. The problem with comicxposure is they’ll likely never respond.

You’re probably right. Oh well. How does a business stay in operation with lack of service like this?

Depending on the area. Many, many, many, many, moons ago I ordered from them. It took 3 weeks for 1 book to arrive after order was placed.

They have a good convention presence. Usually two or three booths stocked with variants.

I’ve had a :star: :star: :star: :star: :star: experience with TOSS Comics, and I really like their actions in response to CBCS if everything is factual.

TOSS Facebook:
"Effective immediately we will no longer be accepting books for CBCS Grading. We do not make the decision lightly, however we have been dealing with a situation the past few months where some customer’s books were returned to us damaged while in the care of CBCS. The resulting customer service interactions with CBCS while incredibly unfavorable from being ignored for several months, to false promises, blocked phone calls and more.

Trying to get any customer service from CBCS has taken using business connections not everyone has, and we have still come up empty with no resolution for us or our customers. Sadly, we cannot continue to support a company that would treat their customers this way and as such will no longer be doing business with them.

We will be refunding all customers who’s books were damaged all grading fees as well as compensating them for the loss of value in their books due to the damage CBCS caused, all of which will be coming from us personally as CBCS has not been interested in rectifying this situation they caused in any way.

We understand this may not be a popular announcement, however we must do what we believe is right for our customers and @cbcscomics did not treat us or our customers in an acceptable manner in this situation.

We will be appearing on several YouTube channels this weekend to discuss these problems and the customer service failings we have had with CBCS."

Just opened up my 1st FOC order from VillainGaming (@faele ) . I moved my business over from ComicsElite after they stopped doing FOC orders. After getting my first package, I wish I had made the change months ago.

You have to take a leap of faith with FOC orders because you’re 4 weeks in before you get your 1st books. My approx $225 order arrived in a diamond box filled with styrofoam peanuts. The books were in packs of 10 books that had been placed alternating cover to back and bound in blue painters tape. Those 10-packs were then bubble wrapped and put in stacks of 4 and bound with painters tape with pull tabs. Pretty much bulletproof packing and I couldn’t find any damage.

Best of all, they shipped the books without waiting on pushed/delayed books. I can’t tell you how frustrated I was with both Unknown Comics and Comics Elite for holding books for months waiting on one pushed book. I know it is more work and accounting on the sellers part, but if I’m ordering every week, I am SO grateful to have my books in hand and what I’m waiting for tossed in my next shipment.

The real test of a retailer is how they handle when something goes wrong. Before I even got my books I had an email from @faele that the A covers from my ratio package didn’t make it in with the ratio book and would be in my next shipment. Proactive customer service - it doesn’t get any better than that. Instead of me chasing a retailer for books I ordered, they realized their mistake and rectified it before I even knew.

:star: :star: :star: :star: :star: 5-Star rating from me.

I pre ordered for along time from ELITE and had the same frustrations. Plus the last 2-3 months before they stopped, their pre screening and damages went WAY UP. They would ship a stack of 20-30 books that bowed the board most of the time in 3-5 stacks in the shipping box. Last 2 times the packer used super sticky tape for the bag that when you tried to open it all the bags 140+ were ruined and ripped the bags.

The thing with ELITE was you couldn’t really beat the 35% off+free shipping over $100.

Sounds like you had a decent order, what was shipping on a order like that from VillainGaming?

Shipping has been running me a little less than 10% from what I recall. So your 30% off turns into 20% delivered roughly.

Alright so I filed my PP dispute on 8/6 and today, Comicxposure uploads tracking info and responded to PP with the number. No explanation or apologies or anything. Of course the tracking number doesn’t exist in the USPS system yet (yes I know it may take a day or two to enter the system). We’ll see what happens. Either way, I think I’m golden. If PP sees that the tracking is not updating, then I should get a refund. If they actually shipped, then I get my books for a good price. Was all the headache worth it though? In my case, I couldn’t find these books elsewhere for even a moderately good price so if the books are actually delivered, alls well that ends well I suppose, but if these were just your run-of-the-mill books, then definitely not worth it.

Just hope they don’t show up damaged. If so, just bypass trying to contact ComicXposure and just start the dispute process all over again.

So the package from Comicxposure only took 2 days to arrive, not bad. I was still dubious about whether things would go right and of course, they didn’t. Of the 3 books I ordered, they only shipped 2, and of course, the most expensive book I ordered is the one that is missing. I called Paypal immediately and had the case changed from a “not received” to “not as described” case. What a %^&* show. Needless to say, I’m never looking to Comixposure for anything again, no matter how good the price may be.

Incidentally, the two books that did arrive were in pretty good condition, but mostly by luck. They were just stacked together in an oversized comic bag with no cardboard backing. The saving grace was that the mailer was thin/tight so the books didn’t move around during transit.

You all already know to avoid them, but sometimes someone has to learn the hard way. AVOID!

Wow I order some FCBD books from Beedas a while back. I emailed and asked when they are sending invoice for some FCBD books I ordered. I just got an email saying the are canceling the pullbox program for all. In addtion since i didnt order enough books thru pullbox that maybe after tomorrow should there be books left in quantity to fulfill your FCBD order we’ll will do so. WTF? Did anyone else get a similer email from them?

I’ve also been using Pullbox through them. I have not received a similar notice. Also, I did get my 1st invoice through them and I noted no discount was given. They did reply quickly and offered me 15% discount. I’ve decided to move my Pullbox to Villain.

This was sent on the FOC email about 30 mins ago. -

IF YOU ARE A LOCAL CUSTOMER PLEASE IGNORE THE BELOW ANNOUNCEMENT.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce this will be our last FOC offer. We are shutting down the Previews Pullbox ratio program as of TUESDAY AUGUST 17TH. It is with a heavy heart that we shutter the program.

Just very shady since I order a bunch of the “HOT” FCBD books and the day before sounds like they are just going to keep the books.

Yeah I saw that too and I ordered the fcbd months ago from them. Maybe too many online orders they couldn’t keep up with
