I have an outstanding order with them from August 2019. Even when ordered through Diamond, their books always show up months late (if at all).
I’ve got an order that partial shipped with the graded book from last year that still has the raw books unshipped
Just got my first order from Villains. It was well done.
Yeah, after I had an order arrive, I sent a bunch of CHU stickers and buttons to Villains.
Opened up my second Villains FOC order last night. Everything was impeccably packed as the 1st time. Order included my missing A covers from the last ratio package and had 6 FCBD issues thrown in for good measure including House of Slaughter, both Star Wars, etc.
I’m liking getting the comics that are ready and not having the entire order held up for 1 pushed book. I know it’s a lot of extra bookkeeping (and I’m keeping my own list of what’s still due), but as long as they keep on top of the pushed books still to ship, I’m sold on both the customer service and shipping.
Comicxposure responded (after a week of waiting) and offered a refund of the missing book. I rejected it. Will be seeking the shipping cost as well because I would not have made my order of the other books if this one was not available. Filed a complaint with BBB. I know these don’t really go anywhere but have to keep the pressure on.

God, you’re putting up with a lot of BS.
Yes I am quite a persistent (stubborn?) one. Paypal thinks the same thing. So much so that when I called them this morning to provide additional information, they just gave me a credit for the entire purchase to not have to deal with this anymore Although CXP will “get away” with all the money paid, apparently Paypal keeps track of merchants like this and eventually gives them the boot after enough disputes.
So that’s it. End of my long boring saga.
Just received my TFAW shipment.
22 comics.
- Stacked w/ spines alternating
- Wrapped in paper meticulously
- Appropriate amount of recyclable peanuts to protect
- Placed perfectly in a large box
All comics reviewed and received with no damage and very high grade.
5 Stars from me!!
I’ve been a big proponent of TFAW for the past year, but I think I’m officially out. I always make sure I have more than 4-5 books to get things shipped in a gemini (not a fan of this either), but a late Diamond arrival meant they just processed what they had and that was 2 books. Now, these 2 books went on sale 8/4. I got an email today saying those 2 books shipped. And, I have books sitting with them from 8/11 and 8/18. Nope. Those don’t get to ship, too.
Website: 5 stars (best in the biz)
Condition: 4.5 stars (mostly good with a few damaged orders)
Processing/shipping speed: 0 stars (this is the fatal flaw in their system)
Reliability: 2 stars (the constant delays and no flexibility in their system creates orders like what I have above.
Mile High is having a 60% off all back issues sale (no idea if this is normal). Code is on their main page. I know their stuff is almost always vastly overpriced, but with the 60%, I was able to fill some of my back issue wants at okay prices.
That makes them almost only 20% over fair market value.
I jus checked a couple issues… my God they are way over priced. Had a book for $60 that’s on Ebay/Mercari for $20 highest. I completely remember why I deleted them from a saved search.
It’s Mile High “Prices”…
Theres a set I wanna get and for whatever reason only mile high has them but they’re deff over priced, all 3 issues I wanted were like $30 each and even with $60 off its like $50 smh
Yep, definitely passed on some of the back issues I wanted but there were a handful at a good price. If someone is offering 60% off, there’s a reason for it. Still, not a bad couple of finds for me. Hope others had some luck.
They have an algorithm that ups the prices the lower their stock goes. So lets say they have 10 copies in stock, the 1st one sells for $3, 2nd for $5, 3rd, for $7 and so on until they no longer sell. That way they don’t get blown out of copies cheap.
It is what it is, but I do not buy from Mile High
Mile High is a good source for typically inexpensive, filler books that you may be personally in need of for a run or that you believe will be spec worthy that just haven’t hit the radar yet. Just think to the future when and if you decide to buy from them. You also don’t want to go too deep to the well or they will just cancel it. I stick to two copies or less, and try to mix things up.
While I do hate their site and get a bit tired of ole Chuck’s theatrics and self praise…I continue to find some gems if I play the game right.
If this tells you all anything… I’d rather shop at Walmart than use Mile Highs website to buy comics…
