Online Comic Store Report Card

I thought @Anthony only ordered this round cause he had a $25 coupon he took advantage of.

Correct. Kinda. So they sent me an email saying we are sorry enjoy this $25 gift card, and then sent me a $20 one. They had the buy three get three variant sales and I bought books that were $7 each making the three $1 plus shipping and then the three free variants. Figured I can sell these variants for more than the 8,95 I was in on them.

First time ordering from 616 comics. Got that cool looking Ice Cream Man #21 cover. It came well packaged. First was a priority envelope, inside that was a thin plastic envelope, inside that was a gemini mailer, inside that was my comic books with extra cardboard just in case. This was packaged with care. Also got my Star Wars comic from Reed Pop and that was fine as well. Packed in a gemini mailer with extra cardboard inside sandwiching the comic.

They really do have some great store variants. I don’t think I have ordered from them directly yet though. I order too much crap I can’t even keep my orders straight anymore.

Finally my orders from Stadium Comics and Frankie’s. Both came in the new box shippers.

Frankie’s TMNT Peach Virgins

Stadium Peach Punchline #1

Both arrived packaged nice Stadium with bubble wrap Frankie’s with paper to keep in place.

I laughed when i read that statement. So you shake it and if it makes noise u repack it. So what if u shake it and dmg it and repack it. Customer gets it and is pissed the corner is dinged up.

Lol, we do not violently shake it. We have also never had a report of damage where the box is not significantly damaged in transit. We only ship bagged and boarded comics, so it would take some vigorous shaking to damage a corner.

Just to touch on shipping… I’ve had few issues in the last year, but recently just before Thanksgiving) have really seen some craziness. I’ll be avoiding all attempts at selling or shipping of any kind till after the holidays.
Shipment of books sent for pressing has been sitting “somewhere” since Nov 25th. USPS can’t give me any answer on it. Makes me I’ll thinking about the possibility of it being lost. Sure it’s insured for a ton…but it’s 25 of my nicest books.
Clone Wars #1 sent to a buyer…same…just sitting…zero movement, long past due. Thankfully the seller is being very kind about it.
I’m so anxious over it all.
I get it…COVID, Black Friday, bad weather…but it’s obviously more than the USPS can remotely handle. I’ll take no more chances.

Sent Unknown an email today because still no movement and it’s been two weeks since I got the shipping notification. At this point, two unfulfilled orders and another one that looks like it is going to go unfulfilled, I will never do business with them again.

Uuughhh THIS is why the Tfaw mailer with no bubble wrap or plastic around the comics is no good. Got my Spawn 311 replacement issues. And this is how they came…

Now I know they arent responsible for rain… but it does rain sometimes I’m not mad at them just frustrated. Waited for the replacements only for them to arrive damp and wet. This my first order or less than 5 copies so I can see the looseness of the books moving around inside. For all retailers there has to be some protection for water/rain damage.

I definitely recommend all retailers ship everything in either a plastic or Tyvek bag over all of the comics. They are better for making tight bundles as well.

That looks like USPS dipped in water… it got soggy, then they hung out on the clothes line to dry in a hurricane… maybe even used a blow dryer on it…

I put the blame squarely on your postal carrier. They’re obviously incompetent and I’d be contacting the postmaster of that office to complain. Didn’t you have a similar problem with a package being left in the rain? Or was that someone else? They shouldn’t be leaving any mail out in the weather to be ruined.

I recall @D-Rog having that issue and he watched the package soak on his cameras from afar…

The previous package was a box of comics from unknow. A little damp but the books were double wrapped in bubbles and the sleeves 15 a pop in a bigger bag and sealed then wrapped and peanuts. So the corner box got wet but nothing on interior was close to wet

Yeah definitely not blaming TFAW just a general question for all retailers to package for inclement weather.

If the postal carriers going to leave them in the weather put a plastic tote with a cover on your porch they can put them in. Mine all get held at the post office as it’s a minute drive from my house.

Got a canned reply from Unknown, they said contact them on Facebook? Um… What if I do not use facebook?

My post office puts them in bags if it is raining
