Online Comic Store Report Card

So we can assume… that status of your Unknown order is… Unknown.

I guess their name certainly lives up to ones expectations:

Buyer: “What’s the status of my order please?”
Unknown: “It’s Unknown.”
Buyer: “I know that’s the name of your store, what’s the status of my order?”
Unknown: “The order is Unknown.”

I feel bad for Anthony as I had 2 orders in limbo and was expecting the same experience…but I have now received both. They were packed well for shipment too.

I think this is some sort of vendetta. This is why we can’t have nice things. Lol as my dad used to say.

Maybe your wife sent them a picture of your basement and said… “please don’t send him more comics, he has enough already…”

Then she should have hit up Brendon because TFAW is where a large part of my comic hoarsnis coming from.

Brendon said no way, Anthony is the reason TFAW stays in business… all your money belongz to uz!

TFAW on the check in…

alternating spines…1:25 bubble wrapped

Books came in crispy!! A couple smudges on Spawn(printer rub) other than that A1 on deliver and packaging.

Midtowncomics usualbox packaging clean copies 1:10 spidey arrived good. No issues.

Three days later and no movement. I got in a massive order from TFAW with their new packaging standards. They were great.

Got one order from NYCC in other than taking forever, no issues.

Got my midtown order in as well. All perfect.

MY unknown comics order is still nowhere to be found. This is now almost 30 days since they printed the shipping label (about a week short) and 11 days after they were mailed. and then throw in the 20 days before they printed the label that the books were ordered.

Where are my books? Unknown.

Are the people in charge of spiderman booth also in charge of unknown comics or something, I always see their exclusives posted and shared by spidermanbooth

Unknown comics is an absolutely terrible company. I’ve had so many bad experiences with them since they opened a few years back. This was my worst and the last straw:

When they first opened, they did online pull lists. Everything worked great for about 3 months. Then I paid for my monthly file, and it never came. They made a label and all they jazz, but no movement. Emailed and they told me their staff member up and quit so they had to train the replacement. Next month file is paid, and the same thing. Well I get the first file way later and I’m missing books I purchased. They will pull from the shelf to fill my order. Blah blah blah. So now we are up to 3 months of pull files and every order had books missing. All this was during major con season, and we all know they love to peddle their wares at every convention.

They eventually just gave me credit for my books, but it took an act of congress to even get that. Had to beg and plead to even talk to Darren the owner (and who knows if it was even him).

Friends have even ordered a single book and asked for mylar and toploader (extra cost) and had it come in regular bag and board. Obviously weeks after the book released. If I even consider ordering anything, it is a buy 3 get 3, and I’ve only done that once for the Thanos virgins they made (needed them for my complete set).

Any store that puts out a variant exclusive for what seems like every new book that comes out, new #1 titles, or just for the hell of it, they really can’t be trusted

Sorry, been ignoring this thread for a while…

Yes, that was me. I was on vacation and had my mail stopped…but it kept getting delivered and I had to bother neighbors to pick up my packages. Everything turned out ok in the end.

I think one of the issues was that midtown ships FedEx for larger orders…

Got my latest TFAW order. 110 comics. the books looked great.

some nice improvements include using a flat box vs a tall box. so 60 and 50 books were stacked next to each other vs the historical stacking of over 100 books in a tall box. the backing boards also seem firmer which prevented the curved comics from the last couple of orders and finally bubble wrap was used to replace the paper. The only suggestion i have is packing the books in groups of 20 vs 60 and then taping the bubble around the books so they don’t move. thanks brendan for implementing the changes.

Regarding the comments on the backing boards being warped, I had a couple that I ordered through eBay and they were curved as well; not sure that was a TFAW thing at all, but perhaps a production issue with moisture or something. M2C

Almost a month since the label was created and no package. 12/8 was the shipping date. That’s 13 days there as well. It’s been so long since I ordered them I don’t remember what I bought.

When I taled to a USPS rep she told me that my package shipped 11/25 is not lost but pretty much in limbo right now. Storms, covid and Christmas have created insane delays with no order to pull crates and trailers…Some are pretty much stuck in the middles with newer trailers full of mail constantly being put in front of them. I probably won’t see my package until after new year…Probably the same for most on here with the same issue. The last update I had was 12/4.

TFAW order arrived. 20 books in a box that was pretty beat up. I was sweating a bit. Upon opening, I once again got the dreaded paper wrap! Packing peanuts saved the day though, as all books were in great shape. Spines were alternated.

I received my order of Batman 104 1:25 today. It wasn’t in a Gemini, but it was bubble wrapped. Showed up in great condition.

Same goes for my order of Batman 102 1:35 and Tec 1029.

I ordered something 2 hrs drive away…shipped 2 weeks ago…not from unknown, but on eBay and a stocking stuffer for kids. Went in the wrong direction and stalled.

I need to check the status of my shipments to make sure they’re moving along…

It’s funny because most of my packages going out have been hitting buyers quickly. I have had orders come in faster from further away. There is no rhyme or reason to what goes on with the mail any more. It’s a crap shoot.
