Online Comic Store Report Card

From what I am seeing, they are just straight up losing some packages for a while. I had a package going out to a buyer that sat in Chicago for 10 days and the USPS could not locate it (they eventually did luckily). I have also hand delivered packages to the post office and had 1 of the 15 not show up in there system for 5 days, the other 14 were in the day I dropped them off.

So it seems like as long as they don’t lose your stuff for a while, you get it pretty quickly.

I think most of the original buildup was around November, so all those packages are slowly trickling out of distribution centers while new packages are on the front to get shipped out faster than those stuck in limbo.

Have them scan each package at drop off. Pain in the ass but forces a system scan. Wait in line if you have to and request a receipt.

To highlight how random it is, I have a delivery from our warehouse coming to me (about 30 minutes away) that has been sitting in a distribution center the OPPOSITE direction of my house from our warehouse for a week now with no movement on the tracking.

I do not know if it is just my post office, but they refused to do that when I asked. They said the best they could do was give me the receipt showing they received it, but it will not go into the system until they have sorted it.

They’re full of shit. I drop off mine and wait for a receipt and for them to be scanned in. They can’t provide a receipt without scanning them first.

The initial scan they do for the receipt does not actually put them in the system. I always get a receipt, even for the one that took days for them to ship out, but the tracking does not update until they actually scan it in the back. No idea why they do it this way, but I have asked before why tracking still says it has not been picked up, and that is what they told me.

I had the daughter go with me to drop off all my weekend auction. I goto the big main distribution center in Austin since it’s only a few miles away and it prevents extra stops if I drop off at my own actual branch that handles my mail.

So anyways, they have a ton of drop boxes in the lobby area where the PO Boxes are located. So instead of taking all the packages to the counter (with a line), me and the daughter start throwing the smaller single comic packages in the bins. Half way through, a guy comes out and starts telling us the bin is full, we need to take the packages to the counter. I was like, we can distribute them and I don’t want to stand in line. He replied with, you can go off to the side to drop off near the counters. I replied with, still accessible by people in the lobby and last time I did that, it took 3 days for it to “leave Austin”… so we grabbed the remaining packages and continued to “fill their bins”… which I was almost going to tell him, "If they’re full, empty them… "

The guy was kind of rude in how he was instructing us so I didn’t have the patience in complying… When I drop the packages off in the bins, they are then secure where I know for sure they empty daily to scan, sort and ship off.

U know all ur packages are now bent :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Shit… I pack securely. He was old too… he’d have a hard time bending them.

I’m only telling you that when I drop off all my packages that I wait for them to all be scanned and get a receipt. Within usually an hour it shows up in their system as accepted. It shows the time I actually dropped them off and not some time later.

I think that’s what he’s saying, the scan says it’s received but no movement until much later. I have the same thing happen with my local office. I can get a receipt but I don’t see any real tracking until the next day.

I only do this for the expensive packages though to prove I dropped it off as I have both a receipt and they can review their security footage of me dropping off a physical package.

Gotcha. My post office is awesome then because mine are all departed within hours of dropping off.

They might just have better policies on scanning items and such.

I just like having the receipts and proof that I dropped off the package. If anything happens then I’m in the clear and the usps is now responsible for it.

Yeah. I don’t go so far for most of mine but I do normally drop all my packages off in person (plus dropping off at the main hub for Austin eliminates the extra stop and extra day it takes my branch in sending it to this hub on it’s way out of town). So if they ever doubted me, I can just say… pull up the footage, I dropped this off on this day. See, there I am holding a package and putting it in your “drop bin”…

After contacting their support and providing a few pictures, they sent me the correct incentive variant. No follow up email or anything after providing pictures, but im good with it since they fixed the issue!

My latest TFAW order came in. About 30 books mostly ratio variants. Loving the new packaging. Books were flawless.

My ReedPop orders all came in. Batman 100 were in great shape. One of my two Star Wars 7 JTC were damaged. Both of my Strikeforce were damaged. ReedPop was contact. Was honestly expecting a big F-U from them. They were super nice and refunded Strikeforce without me shipping them back. Star Wars they are sending me a new copy. I sold the damaged books for $30 each since they said to keep them. (Fully disclosed they were damaged) kudos to ReedPop for being awesome.

Yeah, Reedpop not your normal shop with stock. They don’t want inventory back to store. They likely just cut the loss and move on…

I got my 1st order from Pacific Coast Key Comics. Very impressed. All books were below cover with an additional 25% off. Great packing and all books were Minty. I will definitely buy from them again. They even threw some free comics.
