If anybody should be eligible for a secondary “just for fun” forum account it’s Brendon. I’d hate to deal with work every time I logged into my hobby forum.
We need to make sure he gets a substantial raise for all the extra work he does on his off time.
I think he chooses to do that though. I personally have never asked him about work things in here and I don’t think anyone else should either.
Hey everyone, with all the crazy winter stuff going on here in the south… 2020 ain’t looking as bad as it did compared to how 2021 is now starting out… muhahahahaha!
Yeah, I only reply to stuff as I feel like it. I’ve ignored plenty of things and also told people to just email our support instead of DMing me. But in this case letting someone know why stuff is slow will possibly help other peopel so no harm.
I had a big TFAW order show today that had several incentives. The packaging was FANTASTIC. Roughly 20 books, with alternating spines, all tightly wrapped in a thicker brown paper that was securely taped, all surrounded tightly with packing peanuts. This is by far the best packing I’ve gotten from TFAW, so THANK YOU!
Needless to say, I’d guess every single book was a 9.6 or 9.8 (and probably far more 9.8s).
High fives!!!
I’ll pass on the nice words to the warehouse team when I can open my email again haha.
I think it helps that the people who were hired right before the holidays have now had some time under their belts and got some more experience in packing properly.
Yeah Mine was packed this way too - not sure about the alternating spines but everything else applied.
I even gave the box a little shake after picking it up… couldn’t hear a damn thing moving around on the inside. Was impressed. Just about every book was immaculate.
I’ve spent hundreds preodering on TFAW,but they don’t tell me why they’re slow to ship.I don’t like it when they keep someone in the dark.
I subscribe to their newsletter and they had mentioned it there.
Updates:
I continue to order from Fantom and am pleased. Had an order from Anyone Comics that arrived pretty well-packed in a a priority mailer with cardboard to keep it safe. Westfield continues to be awesome as are M&M. I ordered from a place called Comic Conspiracy and will let you all know how that goes.
I’m sorry if you haven’t seen any of the ways we’ve posted updates, but there’s only so many ways we’re able to publicly share things.
I’ve mentioned reasons why here, we’ve mentioned it in newsletters past (and again this week’s), it’s been posted a few times on social media, and it’s on the notice that loads at the top of the page when you access our site.
The only thing we haven’t been able to do this time (that we normally do in cases where there’s a longer than usual delay for external reasons) is email customers with impacted orders directly, because we have no accesss to any internal servers to get that information.
Apologies if this was already mentioned, but TFAW just sent out such an email. Maybe it was a coincidence, or maybe your post helped prompt it in some way.
Working without power is damn near impossible, and not having power at home is even worse. Really feeling for all the folks in TFAW’s region and of course in TX dealing with this.
I don’t subscribe to TFaw’s newsletter.I didn’t know what’s going on until recently.
Sounds like cause they’re in the dark themselves… no power, no access to shop or email lists…
Mentioning it in this week’s newsletter was thanks in part to AMB. I realized I couldn’t create a new newsletter, but I still had a link to edit the pending one. I wasn’t sure if it would work or not but it seems to have worked. We have the weekly newsletters scheduled out in advance a few weeks.
Yeah I received it earlier today.
I am new to ordering from Westfield and have a number of orders that state they are filled however they have not been mailed these include star wars high republic #1 which came out months ago. I have emailed a number of times with no response. Do you know why the books are held and how do I resolve these outstanding orders if nobody gets back to me. any insights appreciated.
Okay, I take back my harsh words because I didn’t know what was going on.
I’ve been very critical of TFAW in the very recent past. Mostly regarding shipping which has been corrected in part because of this forum and @RipCityGamer participation on the forum. They’ve won me over with the best customer service in the business. I’ve had multiple issues and all have been resolved quickly and professionally.
