Online Comic Store Report Card

The crazy thing is they use priority mailing supplies the thin white paper envelope and they bubble wrap that. No padded envelopes on big orders. And yeah I’d rather benefit from what they do as compared to Tfaw who charges more uses tissue paper to hold comics, thin bubble wrap, and packing peanuts that squeeze easily under pressure.

But that’s it we can agree to disagree on the ethics of what they do. It’s a FREE supply they use improperly even if I didnt order from them I wouldn’t tell/care about it. Ok I’m done.

It’s not free unless you use it for it’s intended purpose though. Like I said previously, I use their stuff myself but I also sell a handful of things each month. If I was a business, doing thousands of orders a month, I wouldn’t use USPS free mailers as packing materials. I would probably buy my own with my own brand on them. I guess when it comes to running a business, I’d want to make great impressions down to even the packing materials with likely my logo and shit on them.

A bribe definitely helps… :stuck_out_tongue:

I just re-used a bunch of old priority materials that came inside boxes I received. I turned around and shipped it back out in first class.

Ehhh, it is a gray area for sure. No judgement on you, I see your thinking.

Still waiting for TFAW to ship my order which has been in process since 3/31.

Anyone else in the same situation.

I think many of us are waiting. My order from 4/1 is still processing

I reuse packaging if it’s nice enough. I generally don’t use or reuse priority boxes as they’re shit quality. I mean some are okay. The ones people use to ship cgc books are the worst. I’m okay with reusing priority cardboard from incoming packages as well. I don’t like anyone who orders USPS supplies and used it strictly as cardboard sandwiches. The environment is more important than a USPS rule.

I guess you can knock me off your x-mas card list… :sob:

I don’t order though, I pickup while I’m at the post office.

Yeah but you also aren’t doing it large scale.

That’s true and some of mine are using recycled ones I’ve received as well.

It’s a good point. What is the better answer? Throw it in the trash so it can go to a landfill? I’ve only done this sort of thing a few times. It’s basically the only time I use priority stuff when I shouldn’t.
However, I’m lucky in that I have two cousins that buy lots of stuff online and they bring me cardboard/supplies to reuse once a month.

Just got my ordered from Heavy Metal and all my Rise #1 are dame in one way or another. The mailer did get beat up but it looks like the damage is prior to delivery. @drunkwooky did you ever get a response when you contacted them?

I haven’t contacted them yet. Too busy registering my car and filing my taxes.

I feel your pain. Reg & taxes due in same month BLOWS.

You know they pushed tax deadline to May 17th right? Better contact Heavy Metal, way more important than giving IRS money…

I like getting it out of the way. I’ve always filed months in advance.

I use to do that myself but now since I know I’ll likely owe some, I wait until the last minute to give them their money…
