When I opened the package and got into the books under the receipt it was on the bags. Like it seems like the books had that on the bags and then were packaged so I’m not sure when or how it happened. As soon as I got to my books they were like that

All online shops seem to have strengths and weaknesses (surely seems like an opportunity for a shop to come in, do it all correctly, and OWN the market, but no one has yet). But, one thing Westfield does EXTREMELY well is ship. Their packaging, with zero bags/boards, seems to always deliver pristine books, and they arrive insanely fast. I had one arrive the day after new comic day, with books from that release. Standard $7.50 flat shipping, too. Amazing.

TFAW arrived today. Very, very happy with condition and contents. Packaged well and the issue of Eniac #1 was a pristine mint first printing. Was totally anticipating the “Not First Print” black lettering.

Got my Tankers from G-Mart. My first order actually. They used the rigid cardboard mailer that TFAW uses on small orders and I ended up with a corner impact crease. Along with ruining the archival bag and board. To think I paid extra for a high grade copy. I emailed them just a minute ago. I’ll report back how they handle it.
Got my first Third Eye Comics order in the mail. Fast shipping, well packaged. I would definitely get from again. Great job all around.

If it’s arriving that fast and isn’t super close there’s a chance they’re shipping earlier than allowed. Per Diamond’s rules things can be packed at any point but can’t be sent out until Tuesday evening.
When it comes to packing bulk orders, it can actually be easier at times to pack a large volume without bags and boards safely than with bags and boards. Bagging and boarding 100+ comics takes a LONG time, and if they only had to put them in a stack and make sure that stack was secure, it would be both quicker and more effort could be put into it.
It’s something we’re trying to figure out a plausible way to make an option for large orders if they’re just picking bag and board for the extra security during shipping.

I have better luck with my tfaw orders with no bags and boards. Especially since I was getting bags and boards that were too big for awhile.

It’s riskier because damage CAN be caused easier, but I’ve pretty much gone to just having my stuff not bagged and boarded (other than the stuff that gets it for free) and it’s not much of a difference in terms of how it arrives. But it’s much less of a transit from there to me than it is to most people haha.
