Man, I haven’t visited milehigh website in like a year. What a cluster.
Anyways, you ideally should be taking profits and putting it into more inventory to multiply the profits again. There is always gonna be missed maximum profits with fast market.
Also, hire more staff if the demand is there.
Funny that the rest of the market has only just now caught up to some of Mile High’s prices. Chuck says some of their prices are “hopelessly low”.
And if the word “Newsstand” is next to a book you wand oh oh lol
Yeah, so just below the newsletter rant is a link to Daredevil #10 (Echo cover) which is listed at a “low” $525 for a raw NM copy. But there is a 50% off code in the newsletter (which he also “complains” about) to bring it down to $262 but that code expires on Monday. So someone should take that offer quick since it’s such a great price.
The dude lost his mind last year with the pricing. I found some gems last summer and that was that.
they need to update their website layout first. Looks like it hasn’t been changed since 98
I laughed at that, too. Insanity.
Wait, how can you be “losing” money when you are now selling stock that’s been sitting for months, years or even decades? I would say, you’re turning profit finally… so yeah, what a tool bag…
Yeah, he always writes that he is a victim of something… On a side note he as a copy of FF #48 (fine) for sale at 14k…or 7k with the super secret code word. I mean, why buy a CGC 6.0 for 4k when you can get an un-graded one for almost double. (rolls eyes)
I really want to like Mile High more than I do. If they could get their act together and cut down on the theatrics their web site would be pretty darn good! Right now, sometimes I love em and sometimes not so much.
The only thing Mile High is good for is a pre-emptive strike with completely obscure books you think “could” get hot or that you can get to before a mad rush. Even then, you still aren’t going to get them dirt cheap.
I honestly wonder if he believes the horseshit he peddles. He comes across as very disengenuous to me.
They are still rocking those dot matrix printers too!
Might be blood. In all seriousness, our Wal mart pick up order this week had a red/brown streak down one of the bags. My wife asked what it was and I shrugged and said “blood. The guy’s hands are probably shredded from the cold and all the hand sanitizer. He just split a crack while packing a bag.”
When you pay pennies on the dollar for books and then sell for over market price (even at their 50% off code word) you are not losing money.
I won’t buy from Mile High ever again after receiving books with 49 cent Half Price Books stickers on the cover. Sure it was graded low, but wow at those prices I paid I didn’t expect that.
I’ll stick with mycomicshop, they aren’t perfect but I feel that they are much more upfront with condition and their web site doesn’t make my eyes bleed
Got a 19-book order in from TFAW today. Packaging was fabulous and everything is in minty-fresh condition! Nice job, TFAW!
I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with mycomicshop. I’ve found some great deals, the website is easy to navigate. The wish list option is easy to use and has been useful in helping me get stuff I want. And, I like the boxes they use. I try to recycle and reuse boxes and theirs are the best.
Same here. Had great luck with tfaw especially with large orders, peanuts all around the books. Kudos to Brendon and the warehouse staff at Tfaw. I also second the positive experience with mycomicshop. All around great place. Thanks to everyone here that recommended them.
I have not ordered a lot from MyComicShop, maybe half a dozen times over the past few years, always 1 or 2 comics and never had a problem with anything being shipped from them
Holy Schnikey my 4/1 Tfaw order that shipped on 4/15 arrived on 4/19! This is unheard of!!
Update: I’ve sent them (G-Mart) another email and still no response. It’s looking like a seller to avoid. Avoid for crappy shipping practices and no customer service. I will update if they ever write back.
I used them (G-mart) several times although it was for back issues and always 10-12 comics so they were probably shipped differently than just a single comic. There website is weird and their pricing structure is odd. All my books came in fine though.
