Had a bigger (for me) order with TFAW that was severely delayed finally arrive. Some books from May. Shipping was actually oddly fast from “shipped,” but overall, it was delayed a bunch. The box was beat to hell. It had a smashed corner and 3-4 punctures. However, all books were minty fresh. Fantastic condition. Would have liked this a few weeks ago, but I can’t complain about the condition of the books.
If they stop sucking I will come back but I need a steady stream of positive Tfaw reviews in here for that to happen. Staying away for the time being. 2 weeks worth of shipments not shown up yet. Not really even their fault but again it doesn’t happen with any other place I order from.
Just wanted to report that I ordered 7-8 variants from the TFAW variant sale 6/8. Initially thought it was one of my orders i placed later. They arrived here in Wash DC here with today’s mail 6/22. Following Brandon’s instruction, I emailed customer service and added ‘Do not bend’ to my account. First time, such few books were shipped in a sturdy box with packing peanuts. Definitely appreciated it. All arrived minty fresh
What is this all about?, email them and ask for do not bend to my orders?.
My last order was in a decent sized box…78 comics with peanuts and arrived in minty condition. Now my pre orders being processed was slow with delays. But when my pre orders finally processed and my package finally shipped it took 4 days. Me being in WA and TFAW based in Oregon helps but it was fast.
The 50 books that were not included in my original shipment have shipped. Took about a week to get it resolved, but all seems to have worked out.
Anybody have experience with Shopify? I’m trying to see if Unknown can ship comics via UPS or Fedex, but got this response from them;

The only thing I can think of is if they’re on the shittiest plan that doesn’t allow them to activate such things. I don’t know as I don’t have a shopify account.

So looks like Unknown is yes, full of shit or perhaps clueless while not knowing how to google search. Maybe we give them the clueless benefit of the doubt first… But that’s something they should look into before making asinine claims.
I ship through multiple channels, but mainly USPS. I use an app to manage my other accounts though, such as UPS and FedEx, and they are mainly there for international orders or anything larger than 20 lbs (fedex home delivery). To clarify, the app is through a 3rd party developer within the Shopify interface.
To get access to all of that through Shopify you have to have the top tier plan, which I just can’t afford $500 a month service fee.
So, in short, yes, you can ship whichever route you want with Shopify.

TFAW won’t replace or supply me with the Geiger #2 covers that I thought I was purchasing.
Basically implied that incorrect images on their website is my problem and not theirs. I literally ordered these two books for the cover only (Issue #2 that had the two headed dog on the cover) - they had this image on the wrong variant/sku, so now I’m stuck with some extra toilet paper for camping trips.
Done with TFAW for now. I’m assuming they’re getting slammed with customer support stuff and have to now pick and choose what screw ups they will fix.
Going to let the remaining locked in pre-orders fulfill and then it’s a wrap.
Anyone ever use Atomic Empire? I order something a year or ago and they cancelled. I just ordered something Wednesday and I got it today. Very happy with them. Quick shipping, well packaged. Their website isn’t the easiest to Search though.
It is individual sellers there so some are better than others. I like the site.
Some good grabs even when the apps break news. Can find some gems on there.

TFAW, I’m disappointed! I don’t mind waiting for my books, but I do want customer service. I have my account set for weekly shipping, orders are regularly hundreds of dollars. My last three attempts to contact service have gone unanswered. I reached out when the website had chat available because I pre-ordered a Marvel book (before FOC) and didn’t receive the typical discount. No answer. I sent an email 15 days ago about a book that arrived damaged. No answer. I sent an email 5 days ago about another issue. Nothing.
Don’t do email, that’s just piling your email at the bottom of the stack. They have chat again, which is the best option. Click the Help on bottom right side, do a search on anything and then click the chat option when it comes up.
Emails are a bit slow but I do get responses in about 3-4 days.
If you haven’t heard in 15 days, there must be a reason.
Not every book gets the 20%/30% off. Some ratios were priced at full ratio price. And some of the team books were priced at regular price as well (those are make your own price). If it was one of those, that could be why they didn’t respond. It was just their price on that one, not a mistake.
Damage email you should’ve heard from though.
Received my most recent TFAW order and I won’t be ordering anything else from them. It was half assed at best packaging. The bundles of books weren’t put in the middle of the box and surrounded on all sides with packing peanuts. The bundles were placed in the corner so it was flush against 2 sides of the box. 3/4 of the boards are ruined with corner impact creases. I paid for bags and boards and they’re now useless & have to buy more bags and boards to replace them. Luckily only 6 of the books were damaged with the same Corner Impact Creases. I was also excited to finally get my Frank at Home on the Farm #2 but they sent #4 instead.
