I’ve never been big on glow in the dark covers. I love a nice embossed or acetate one tho. I’m just too lazy to actually expose my comic to a bunch of light and then carry it to a dark room to admire the effect.
Haha… I think they’re cool but I can relate. How often do you find yourself doing exactly that? Hold under light, then take to the dark closet or bathroom to admire it for what… 15 seconds?

Agree…I was just reminiscing about that ghost rider cover…back In the days when it was all about the Gimmick covers…at least they were all A covers and no Bs. So you either got it or you didn’t. not variant covers like it is today.
They moving quick someone said 300 print run for the glow in the dark even though it showed 300 copies and 30 cgc 9.8s available when it first came up for sale. Almost half gone not even 24hrs and not widely advertised.
I see 2 people paid $100 for the glow in the dark on ebay. Is this a joke or something? I mean the book is still on ssco.

I found a stack of those Texeira GR15s in the dollar bin about a year ago. Slowly been flipping them for a nice mark up. There’s a 2nd print gold cover for that book too (I don’t think the 2nd is GitD).
I wish I could find these gems. All the LCS’s by me are constantly picked over.
Yeah, I have to get move fast and be way on top on something that is hot or going to be hot to have a chance at getting anything. I live in a heavily populated area and not a ton of shops so the competition is always close by.
Or they have employees reading CHU and other spec sites to pull from stock…
I’m pretty sure one of my local shops does this… since they love to yank hot pre-release books from making the shelves (and use the lame excuse of, we were shorted) only to have them show up on the “recently acquired” wall at the eBay going rate… You know, that excuse only works once or twice… when it starts becoming the norm on every hot book, well… I guess they just think their customers are stupid…

They don’t anymore, I don’t even bother now. The sad thing is though, they’re the only shop in the city now with back issues going beyond the 6 month time frame…
I’m adding Sanctum to the bad practices list. It baffles my mind that they are willing to lose customers over $100 of profit. That is crap.
