Rick and Morty

Heck, most people don’t even realize they swapped Jennifer’s in Back to the Future after the first movie. They also switched George McFly after the first movie!

I noticed the change. Crispin Glover is a fantastic and weird actor.

Was coming here to post this. Hmmmmmm looks like AS did jump the gun there in cutting ties with him. Good luck trying to get him back onboard with AS even trying to run the show without him involved, will be interesting to see what happens as I highly doubt he gave up ownership of the show/properties/etc etc.

I fell like I remember someone saying in cases like this they should not jump to conclusions or act too quickly.

Just because charges were dropped doesn’t mean he did nothing wrong. But clearly they jumped the gun.

insufficient evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Either way, AS should have taken the “suspension with pay” route until the case had more facts and actually advanced somewhere.

In the eyes of the law, he is no longer suspected of a crime or criminal activity. They could always bring charges up on him again since it didn’t go to court.

From the sound of it, AS was thrilled to be rid of him, crimes or not.

I wouldn’t say he’s in the clear as those DMs that got leaked are veryyy suspect and creepy af

I struggle with this a bit. Most humans, throughout their lives do some dumb, bad things.

I didn’t see any of those messages, but were they any worse than stuff like the “fully redeemed” James Gunn said/did? Folks loved rallying around his “redemption”…why not this guy?
Anything I’ve seen uses an awful lot of “allegedly” or “someone else posted”, etc, etc when it comes to messages or actions. Allegedly has somehow transformed into guilty facts?

Messages and texts can so easily be taken out of contexts, sent in emotional moments, etc. I text very differently based on who I’m speaking with. I’ve said and done some incredibly ignorant things over the years and thank God some of them weren’t captured on YouTube or a person with a grudge. I’ve seen some crazy forms of punishment and guilty until proven innocent stuff during my time in the Corps. Feels like we’re moving towards that at times.
If there isn’t a crime and he isn’t going to trial…charges dismissed…then that’s that.
Maybe he’s a horrible person…I don’t know the guy. I’ve worked and interacted with some folks who are pretty horrible human beings, but that doesn’t mean they deserve to have their careers/lives ruined.

Folks may get weary of it, but the whole “let he without sin cast the first stone” continues to work for me.

James Gunn told sketch jokes, whereas Roiland sent explicit DM’s to a 16 year old.

All I’ve seen is the use of “Allegedly” when it comes to these messages he sent?

Has there been documented proof or any charges established with regards to these alleged crimes against a minor versus anonymous reddit posts?

This stuff is pretty easily verified and traced these days.

Thank you for providing.
Well, I’ll have to assume the authorities may be focusing on that stuff versus the domestic charges.
Imagine having “it all” and carrying on like that.
Uggg…my old mind just can’t wrap my head around it.
The dumb stuff I did… wasn’t that sort of dumb stuff. Sad.

Those texts paint a very different picture of him as a person for sure.

I feel like Adult Swim wanted to get rid of him and this mess provided an excuse. How this might impact Sqaunch games, I do not know. The whole thing is a mess and keeps getting stranger.

I think they got rid of him cause he basically wasn’t even involved in the series, as he only did voices and hasn’t written or worked on the show since season 1 and people spoke out about how he wasn’t good to work with

I finally tracked down a copy of Rick and Morty #5 second print because, well, who doesn’t love Snowball? But, I’m curious what the ballpark print run for this was. I can never seem to find how the numbers work at Comicron. The first print of issue 5 was around 10,000 printed (yeah, I know, ballpark), so I’m guessing this second print is less. But, can anyone figure this out via comicron?
