This is a very accurate statement
That seems to be pretty fair with how this book has blown up this week, however I guess the bottom line is deciding what it is worth to you.
I continue to hold the view that the number of folks like us that are glued to news/preordering online, sharing this type of stuff are the great minority. Week after week my view is reinforced by folks I see online (in comic groups), and those I see at my varied local shops or in live FB sales on day of release.
I would bet more folks than we realize don’t even have a whiff of this book or what takes place in it.
Well CHU only place i could find with the Robin King info and the video it came from.
I’ve already paid for my 11 copies and then some…totally undercut Mr. Drew Bizz for a short time, Lol. Only by a couple $ though. I went back for more, which is obviously taking on more risk (still 611 copies on Poor Boy) but with the price hike decided to quite while I’m virtually ahead. Took it as a sign not to get too aggressive. After all, this is just a hobby and supposed to be fun. Not something to lose my shirt on my back over.
I also have other avenues to get copies which may supply my pre-orders until PB ships they to me.
It concern anyone else Poor Boy has so many copies? If they did a variant, i get it. But they’ve sold a lot of copies.
They had 1000 copies they have already sent me a tracking number for my order and three thanks for your purchase emails. They raised the price today so i assume they are moving.
Same here (tracking number).
I’m more concerned about Fan Made March where it was allowing me to make a purchase of 100,000 copies of Death Metal 3 Federici…no issues!
I ordered 5 and I kind of regret it now.
Bingo. I hit my LCS today and inquired about Robin King and DK Legends. Guy working had no clue what was coming. A couple of collectors overheard and had no idea. I think many have no clue.
It pays to be ahead
Of the curve
I will say this - Captain Marvel #18 was cleared out. Sold all of them fairly quickly supposedly.
The thing about less popular titles…just aren’t all that many ordered to begin with. I would assume the number of “wall copies” on Captain Marvel is low to begin with. Figure in customers who call/ask for a favor to have one set aside after it gets hot, shop holds a couple back…not a whole lot of meat left on that bone.
When talking to my shop today about Legends he had no idea either. He’s been having a lot of problems with Midtown lately too so he’s not sure if/what he’s gonna get. Had the main title on my pull, but not the one shots.
I think we don’t realize how this book may have been underordered.
Yep. CM 18 pricing decent on EBay. Will hold my copies for now.
This would be fantastic. I am going to hit another LCS later today and inquire what they are doing with Legends. I did pick up an excellent copy of DM 2, as the one shipped from TFAW was ruined.
Lmao. $400 for a 1:25 variant. Now i need to follow it on ebay to see if it sells.
Your 100% right left my shop they have NO clue as to what’s hit or coming which I feel bad for them.
They didnt know about the Captain Marvel spec lots of Death metal 2 on shelf and the Spawn 308. I grabbed 2 copies. I have preorders for legends but just told them to put 2 on the side for me next week no issues.
My LCS knew about CM 18. Only 1 per customer, which is fine by me as I ordered across other sites.
Legends 1:25 (and reg)
Up on midtown for $75…go git em!
