TT12 is doing well now… but then again, everything is doing well. It’s a sellers market right now. I suspect in the coming weeks or months that could all change though… Sell now while you can, dark days are coming…
Graham Crackers has copies of DNDM Legends #1, but you are limited to one copy. Also, I purchased my copy for cover price, but when I went back to see if there were more in stock, I noticed that the price is now $6.50. So, they might be raising the price after each purchase, or something along those lines.
Need my cgc submission back ASAP for exactly this…
Why do you say? Interest from networks/studios has never been higher for content.
The overall state of the pandemic and recovery is what I’m talking about. Sure there might be interest but everything is stalled or will be stalled… The road to full recovery that will also impact the selling of goods I think is going to take another nose dive… maybe I’m wrong. I’m usually pretty optimistic but I just have a really bad feeling for the near future…
Even if the second print is just a recolor, I’m looking at TT 12 second prints and the last few raw sales range from $25-45. Recent CGC 9.8s have fetched $150, $325(!), and $188.
Caveats:
- TT 12 is three years old.
- We have no idea if Robin King will take off like the Batman Who Laughs did.
- As Poyo points out, it’s a crazy market right now and who knows how long that will last.
I don’t think it would hurt to pick up a couple second prints if you can get 'em cheap. Especially if we do end up with a small print run.
What am I missing? Not be argumentative for the sake of arguing, but this article doesn’t really negate that Legends is his 1st.
Origin of Robin King, combined with an image of Robin King/crown (rudimentary costume or not), combined with solicit that states “origin of Robin King”…so it isn’t a story about a different Robin goblin.
Yes and it took up until a few weeks ago for this book to take off. I dumped my two copies but I recall about a year or two ago I couldn’t sell these for cover price… I think I even tried a 99 cent auction at one point and got zero bids.
I didn’t sell any of my TT #12 now I sitting pretty.
Are you, are you really sitting pretty? Pics or it didn’t happen…
The TT #12 convention foil cover is doing well, also. Recent floppy sales are $145, $145.99, and $109.88. Copies graded at 9.8 have sold for $169.99, $145, and $149 (plus a couple of BIN sales that sold for less than the asking price).
Can’t you still buy it for $30 from the places that offered them
Re-color or new cover it will be heavily ordered…If it was marvel there would be a ratio second print of the second print available too. Still, a hot book and probably worth it to buy a couple…even reprinted re-colors are getting hot with some books. God of Thunder #2 sells $40 to $50 now.
I like DC doesn’t tarnish their first printings with new better covers on 2nd printings. Marvel rewards people for missing out with the later printings with new covers sometimes great covers, DC is like here’s the same cover in orange better luck next time maybe you won’t miss out.
Looking like eBay prices for 1st print cover a outside of a few outliers at $20 is moving in the $30s
I’m still going to preorder a copy even though it’s a confirmed recolor. We have such short notice for a 2nd print on a hot book that didn’t even release yet. My lcs didn’t even know about the book being hot in the first place.
Poor Boy Comics now selling them at $19.99
I wish you would have told me about that…I would have taken them from you for 99 cents.
I sold all mine for about a few dollars over cover…kept the best copy though as a reader…as it is likely a 9.8 and my first print a 9.2/9.4, My 2nd print might actually net me more $$ if I graded and sold them. My 1st print has become my reader copy!
