I tired to order. It’s all messed up.
This is the very thing that almost destroyed the comic industry in the 90s… shops need to stop buying as they’re consumers to get the ratio variants. If you got enough regulars to sell based on your own customer base and happen to hit the ratio buy in goal, great but stop this garbage buying by inflating the market with tons of copies that are not in actual demand…

Yup, it’s why I preach against FOMO… be strong young padawans… fomo leads to hate, hate leads to anger and anger leads to buying stupid comics you don’t need anyways!

Westfield does that all the time with a lot of books. It’s not just Siktc.
Im pretty sure the insane number of store exclusives for 16 was just because it is the last issue that will have any store exclusives.
They updated the SIKTC 17 cover B and upped the price.
This the cover everyone talking about on the gram.
Being that we’re talking about Boom! here, do we really think they’re going to halt the exclusives forever on this title? I remember Image doing something like no variants about 5 years ago, and that didn’t last for very long. I just can’t see Boom! holding themselves to this based on their FOMO business practices. Plus, why would they kill off all the extra money in units sold? Maybe they stay true to their word, but I’m not holding my breath 
I have a theory and see if it comes true, but I bet either Boom or Tynion himself sells exclusives from their respective sites. Kill the competition and still give people the exclusive covers. All part of the publishers/creators become speculators trend. Just a hunch. But I can see that happening. Like the way Scout sells their own web store exclusives.
