Something is Killing the Children

I have it, but I wasnt planning on reading it until a regular copy comes out. Didnt want to risk damaging it.

I really like Tynion’s stuff, actually (at least the non-superhero stuff). I know a chunk of folks do not, however.

I agree. Id say his biggest detractors are on this board. I really have not liked House of Slaughter though. Very boring. I was going to drop it anyway.

His biggest hit right now is SIKTC and House of Slaughter and I’m not really digging either. I adore Department of Truth and Nice House on the Lake and other stuff tho.

I like SIKTC quite a bit. I liked his Batman, but his run a few years ago on Detective was better. House of Slaughter just isnt good.

Only if it’s also The Next Miles

Something is Killing the Next Miles? …maybe :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The real winner looks to be the 1 per store ashcan that BOOM sent out. Some bids went up to $150, but it looks like it’ll settle around $130.

Any reason why that book would be selling for that much ? Anyone here have a copy ?

Because it makes NO SENSE it would be selling for that much when #1 sells for FAR less.

The BG variant for #21 is returnable, but does not count toward ratios. :eyes: Maybe if you keep it you get a 20th reprinting #1.

the ash can was a surprise and a lot of retailers got it randomly, plus 1 per store. sikc stopped being a low printed spec book around issue 9 or so , I guess with a surprise like this there’s more rarity than its had in a while with the issues selling so well and so many exclusives

You talking about the one per store of #21? I have one. Despite what people say on this board I know a lot of people who really like this series. No surprise something with a limited print run would sell for $100+.

…but why ? “Limited” print run dont mean shite. Theres at least 2,000 of these depending on the number of active Diamond accounts.

SIKTC has lots of one-per-store covers that sell below $30…

I also think it will settle lower. I certainly didnt pay $150.

It is a cool cover though, better than most of the one per stores for this series.

Since you have it…and Im assuming you read it…is there any spec ? 1st appearances ? etc…

I didnt read it I was waiting for my regular copy. Its an all black cover and I didnt want to damage it.

Man again a lot of these sikc exclusives I’m just feeling meh on. Only one I bought was hughes. interesting that they said whatever and just showed the covers off cause they figured blind sales wasn’t a great idea last time

Not worth buying for the prices they ask for them. Ive got a good local hookup for 1:25s and One per Stores. Ill stick with those.
