#9 animation variant in high grade would be even better. I sold all but 2 of mine when the last craze for Dylan hit. $15 was the most I paid but still not as good as the $4 you probably spent on it.

I have a few raw regulars, but this is for the PC….there was a time I had this listed raw for $100…no takers so I had it graded.
Paid $15 day of release and I thought that was crazy…but knew it was a 9.8.

I don’t understand that cover and the hype….I get it’s more scarce being a 1:10, but I just don’t care for covers that have nothing to do with the contents…
Okay I’m very confused. Why the Hell is it a rule that a topic containing the words spoiler has to be “censored”? If you don’t want it spoiled you really shouldn’t be reading the topic to begin with. I’m talking about having to blur out Dylan’s name when the topic clearly says spoilers.

Understandable, but most variants have nothing really to do with the contents. When speculating, you don’t have a choice most times. The buy in for the tongue variant also made it attractive compared to the Cho virgin cvr. Plus it looks kinda cool.
Mmmmmm… Hmmmm… next time @Anthony is gonna whip out the other spare chain he has lying around somewhere… and you know what…

I’m ok with variants that have art of the title character and its just “art”…But Spider-man Noir on a Venom cover? Why?
And those theme variants like Aliens covers…ugh.
I just don’t get the draw of those over Cover A when there’s a 1st appearance. Not my thing.
But people keep buying them…so what more can I say?

I don’t care for theme variants unless either it’s a ratio and I’m speculating on the contents. They just run out of good ideas for covers and have to make these theme variants as a result.

I think Venom 35/200 was fantastic, but I don’t think it has spec.
The books to go after are clearly Venom 7 and 9. More so 9.
If Dylan turned into a new symbiote then 35 would be spec worthy. He didn’t.
Now Dylan is to Venom like Miles is to Spider-Man. Marvel is building out for the current generation, and if Dylan sticks, I think Venom 7 and 9 will just keep appreciating.
Also, I have a sneaky feeling Codex will be popping back up in the near future.

Venom 7 tongue variant should be the biggest Dylan book there is, but for some reason, it just hasn’t exploded the way it should. That annoyed me for a while until I grabbed 4 Venom 9 cover A’s for double cover just a few months ago at a random shop. Now I don’t mind as much

I heard the reason 35 was delayed so many times was because they rewrote it due to all the fan hate after KIB 5. Maybe this is why and it’s a retcon.
