Star Wars The Acolyte Specs

You can hold all you want. I see no reason to not take advantage of any price increase, no matter how limited or FOMO’d it is.

You have the numbers from Marvel on the print run for the book? I’d assume it was high since Star Wars, but I’m curious to know if you’ve got those numbers.

Those are not print numbers.

This is huge news!

If there is one from Phase 1 Comics, there must be more.

They’re from Comichron.

Those are sales numbers. Different from print run.

Regardless, the only numbers that matter are numbers available on eBay and the number of people looking to buy one.

How do you get numbers for the print run?

Im sure there are more unannounced. Look at how many people have been cast.

Unless you work at Marvel, you probably don’t.

I didn’t think they were accessible. Comichron is all we got.

True. But what is important to keep in mind is that it doesn’t account for all those books that were printed and end up in combo packs at Walmart, Ollies, or wherever companies dump dead inventory.

I think your 7-year theory made more sense before the advent of Disney+.

Now the timeline is tied to increased exposure. Being cast in the Acolyte accomplishes that.

If there is a rule that has served me well, it’s the rule of 25. Properties that were popular with kids 25 years ago, tend to get hot again when they have real money to spend and get nostalgic.

I don’t think those totals are that meaningful. They probably increase the print run by 10-15% to account for damages.

They pull from this same pile to source for combo packs, Walmart and Ollies.

That is also a good rule :grinning:

And it’s all guesstimates now. They’re not even getting real numbers from Diamond anymore I think. Take it all with a grain of salt… I don’t even use Comichron now as it’s not a good tool unless you’re looking at older numbers when the sales numbers were likely closer and more accurate to get a good feeling of how many books are out in the wild.

I noticed you use the phrase “first publisher released cover” for HRA Annual.

Does the fact that it is a publisher released cover generally make it more desired? I see the Turini store exclusive variant for HR 6. It features only Vernestra Rwoh as opposed to the Annual cover where Rwoh is not the main character featured.

Any educated guesses on which cover would be most sought after?

There could be, and I’ll be refreshing to see if any are announced, but I wonder if they are holding back on some so as not to spoil parts of phase 3.

The Annual has a lot more going for it.
