Star Wars: The High Republic

Scroll up in this thread I have pictures of my order posted when I received it.

Also I think if people are concerned about the 600 copy limits, i think the criticism should extend to all stores that do this (like sad lemon did with this exact book HR#1). I don’t think it’s fair to constantly call out one store but then literally never say anything about the multiple others that do it as well.

We have mentioned this in the past, feel free to call out Sad Lemon for it. But at the same time, his isn’t the one selling for multiple hundreds of dollars and with a $75 buy in. But you are right, call out all stores that do this

Oh, I have all the time. This one for me goes above and beyond the normal “hey guys, our stuff is limited”… most other shops don’t go into details of them “destroying” the copies to truly make it exclusive like they claim it to be.

No shop gets a pass but these guys… Send us the proof!

Yeah, 2225 posts, you’re gonna have to link me to that post… that’s a lot of scrolling…

Oh I found it. Yup, second confirmed book that had entire cover ripped off. Now we don’t know if it was truly one of their “exclusive” covers like they claimed it would be… Hmmm…

We will know 10 years from now when there are 1200 of them in the CGC Census.

Sad Lemon’s/Comic Mint’s are selling for $300 a piece too.

The buy in for CBE was basically free if you bought the set with the ratios.

I don’t think either one of us is arguing. Time will resolve this. I hope you’re wrong, but you never know.

The only reason I know what CBE is selling for is because people mentioned dit, had no Idea Sad Lemon’s was as well. But I will say this, and go back to my original stance, I do not care what other shops (either of them) are doing, not my place, but I asked the question was the video released. The answer thus far has been no.

I hope I’m wrong too but they do need to explain why they said the covers would be partially removed as evidence of destruction but now two people in this topic have stated otherwise, one with pictures as proof. They need to explain their obvious first lie now that contradicts their own transparent process as they have now broken such process they outlined.

I would have bought them if they were 3000 print run, but I am not buying into gimmicks. And I really dont support destroying books, especially when its likely that some extras will make their way into the market.

Your concern about that part is valid. Hopefully they documented that and put it to rest.

I’d like to speak with those people around “retirement” age and see if they still define that income as “disposable.”

Whose begging them for another exclusive? Lol

Their integrity is definitely at stake here. But until people who bought this exclusive or are interested in buying into their next gimmick hold them accountable, nothing is going to change. I doubt we’ll EVER see any evidence…much less indisputable evidence, that they followed through with their “promise.”

Honestly, everyone who bought in to this gimmick should be demanding for evidence backing up their promise, or a timetable for when this evidence will be provided. Demand accountability.

Unfortunately many profited off this lack of follow through so few really care…when cash is flowing everyone looks the other way…

Limited edition comics sold out on the Mayhew Variant in less than 30 seconds over here in the UK

I’ve got some sets for cheaper than other US sellers if anyone’s interested give me a message and we’ll try and workout the postage together or go across to my eBay link in the ‘for sale and trading’ thread

Because they said they were doing something they need to do that. Why are you sticking up for a shit company to begin with? They said they remove part of the cover and if there removing front and back it’s goddamn fishy.

:open_mouth:

CBCS has a census now too. It will be interesting to see those numbers, and CGCs census numbers, in due time.
