strange academy not only had 5 open order covers, but also atleast 7k of the copies were store exclusives, also im not sure if the 12k-15k of walmart 1st prints are included in that

I don’t think store exclusives and Wal-Mart or other types are included either, as they’re likely shipped by other means.

Also, consider how many boxes are shipped directly from the printer to Disney/Marvel locations for their own distribution, etc.

So all these numbers are guesstimates. The boxes from Diamond might very well be how comichron got their sales estimates but Diamond even stopped providing whatever information they were giving out since now comichron does a low and high instead of a direct number estimate. These only give us an idea of how many were made but are by no means accurate on any level of measurement.

For all we know, Diamond sold 100k of these books yet Disney ordered 500k extra from the printers to slowly offload at their parks and Disney stores, hand out to employees, etc

They also had an update saying diamond said there was a 48 hour shipping delay, and that they will be packing orders this weekend to ship on Monday. Will keep you all up to date on the status of this mystery variant.

MCS charging $15 for the Hans variant, cover for cover A&B.

A and Hans sold out
both “stolen” out of my cart as I tried to check out.

Pisses me off
I have stuff in my cart up until I hit “submit”
then after I hit submit the total order is less than what it was when I hit the button. Go back and of course books “disappeared” from my invoice.

Oh well
I had ordered one Hans at below cover from TFAW.

I also struggled with adding covers A and Hans
the first 4 attempts it kept dropping one for the other. it wouldn’t let me add both at first
finally got them to show up and it’s gone when I get the invoice

You know retailers are greedy when MCS has a FEW copies of the Hans variant for $15, “sells out”, then raises the price to $20 within minutes. I know they’re holding back copies

You saved me on a close one with a High Republic variant last week. I should have attended again this week as I bought way too much stuff. I’m also faking an eye appointment to be at the comic dealer at 10:00 tomorrow
