These guys really went the extra mile with packing. I’ll be back in a bit with more pics…
We want more pics!
Name change to “starwarsismypassion”
Literally every single one I’ve look at so far is a potential 9.8. Thank you Unknown Comics!
I’ll be back in a while after I unpack all of this.
Wow and they bagged and boarded each one, put their employees to work!
Knew it was unknowncomics from the package peanuts. that’s how they do. Glad someone besides myself had good experience with them.
I had a flash back to my cocaine days and though those were all bricks
Kudos to them for packaging well, but it’s a pet peeve of mine when I see stores using priority mail supplies for reasons that they’re not legally supposed to.
And here I thought you ordered these from Home Depot!
Sending them all out for grading would be a super power move…
Having a census that weighted would definitely effect the market.
175 Anindito’s fit in a short box with each comic reversed. Notice how there isn’t one corner ding on any of the boards. Truly incredible packaging!
I’ll be back…
Bah, no one really looks at the census…they just want their 9.8s…but a 9.9 or 10.0 would probably pay for the whole lot of them.
It’s true. I always laugh at eBay listings when they say “only one on the census!” Ok. So nobody else gives enough of a shit about this book to submit it? That’s the simplest answer I always jump to.
One time on eBay there was this GIJoe #1 and it was beaten to hell…it was a 0.5 grade…you had to wonder what someone was thinking when they sent it it…but it was the only one in the census and the guy was asking hundreds for it, lol. And the book was complete and intact (cover was not missing). It’s kind of hard to get a 0.5 on a modern(ish) comic with its whole cover and contents intact if you think about it.
I think he was trying to sell it as a gag…
My AF15 is a 1.0 and I think books like that are 100% worth getting a third party opinion grade. That 1.0 says a lot to me: that it’s authentic, complete, unrestored, that at least it’s 1.0 and not .5, so nobody will argue that with me.
But a modern book? G.I. Joe #1? Just buy another raw one for like $20-40 and submit that one.
