Star Wars: The High Republic

not bad, still ■■■■ those cbe guys tho. My high republic and crossover 3 came in from tfaw in a flimsy envelope and all 3 books had a really bad bend in it

Yeah, what was stopping them from ordering 600 additional copies of Cover A and just taking the covers off of those to ship out at these “reader” copies?

I agree nothing is stopping them from doing that.

They could easily sell the 600 with COA thru website and sell additional thru eBay w/o the cert. Most people on Ebay wouldn’t think about the missing cert.

On the cbsi shows they were giving copies away, even though they’ve been “sold out” for a while

They said they were only going to sell 400 through their website and give 200 away. They’ve been very transparent.

I’m looking forward to their video proof that is supposed to show them tearing off the covers from all of the remaining copies and them giving those cover-free books to needy children. I like what they’re doing personally.

If they intentionally sold more than what is stated, it would literally be fraud. A criminal offense.

I trust them completely. No reason not to.

Mail and wire fraud. Federal felony offenses.

And I bought 5 of these sets. The one’s that came with the ratios that basically made these variants free.

Agreed, and the fact they are being transparent about having a connection with cbsi (with it being only one employee of cbsi not affiliated with the entire site or whole crew) is good in my eyes too. They seem to be doing things above board and being open and honest about everything, so I think people should give them some slack as they aren’t hiding any of this (which if they did would be reason to not do business with them).

I wouldn’t order from a shop that ordered so many copies and then destroyed most of them to artificially raise the value. Complete and utter stupidity that we shouldn’t reward with our hard earned money.

And they also got all those variants that they can sell at premium… So they are not loosing money at all

Until the proof of destruction is provided, take it all with a grain of salt I say…

Like I said many moons ago, I better see a video of all the books being destroyed, one by one… I’ll make popcorn and watch it even if it’s hours long… counting out each book down to just the 600 of each cover they claim would not be destroyed.

If they were putting the books in a woodchipper and shredding everything to pieces I’m with you.

These guys have really thought this through. Removing the covers and distributing them to children is a super cool move imo.

I want to see that it’s their exclusive though and not 600 extra copies they ordered of the regular though they’re ripping off the covers…

But if i was a kid, I’d probably question why they’re giving me this super cool comic that has no cover though as well… Is it cool, I suppose but honestly, they’re only doing it to appease the collectors in giving them an “exclusive”. If they wanted to really do the right thing, don’t destroy it and just give the rest of the comics to the children without destroying them.

I think what they’re doing is accomplishing both. They’re offering a very limited exclusive for a great book for collectors and giving kids a chance to learn about Star Wars. It’s a win-win.

Whaaaaaat? So they are not destroying them? Well they can just tear covers of some and then tear covers of cover A or B and claim it as the exclusive. Now if they give them away to “kids” they are not exclusive any more. They are 3K printed and 3K available to 600.

600 available with covers. They said they’re going to video record the process to eliminate the suspicion of your cover A scenario.

Words arent transparent. Anyone can lie.

Video is what I’m waiting on… until then, it’s all just hearsay. If they show them doing just a couple and not all of them… I’m gonna cry foul…
