How about you just not destroy books to make it more limited? Jesus Christ a 3,000 print run is tiny compared to what most of these monthly titles sell. So your more than likely going to already have the rarest of of the different covers for a given issue. I find it ludicrous that they have to destroy books to make it more valuable. I will never do business with them or anyone doing something similar.

Thatâs what Iâm saying as well. They could have just sold all 3k and dropped the price by $20 and still sold them all more than likely.
And then if they really wanted to be cool, do a limited number COA of the 600 people can buy and then donate the rest to the kids without destroying them⊠instead kids are getting the consolidation prize to appease the collectors who wanted something âexclusiveâ and âlimitedâ⊠dumb if you ask me, just plain effing dumb.

I know as a kid I wouldâve appreciated someone giving me a comic but Iâd want the cover on it.
Itâs like pulling the legs off a GI Joe figure and donating them to kids.

The whole cbe thing just rubbed me the wrong way and made me shake my head, like I donât know any of these guys and theyâre saying they got a hot exclusive their first one ever so no prior experience or knowledge of them and theyâre saying its super duper limited to 600 cause theyâre gonna rip up a ton of to meet that 600 quota, and oh btw we also happen to run cbsi and hey look its on one of their top ten lists

Why is no one questioning Sad Lemons High Republic exclusive? The way everyone is attacking CBE while being completely oblivious to other companies that say/do the same is pretty sad. Not to mention Sad Lemon has 0 mention at all about what happens to those other 2400 covers, literally nothing. But hey, cbsi is a competitor to CHU, I get itâŠ

Our Diamond FOC for our site was today since weâre closed on Monday.
I canât stand sad lemon they always find a couple hundred sets of a long sold out âPartnerâ variant and sell them on eBay for cheaper than the going rate right as you get your books in the mail two months later and then no one wants them anymore.
Oh, I question anyone who claims X amount as exclusive⊠theyâre all equally guilty of such nonsense.

Ok, here it is. I think theyâre both crap. The only reason they did this Limited 600 garbage is because they did the exclusive before all of the Star Wars material blew up. They probably didnât think they could sell 3,000 exclusivesâŠbut if they made super-limited-diamond-platinum-gold-rare-uber-great 600 copies and destroy the rest, they figured they could market the heck out of it. Well, they didâŠand theyâre still crap.

I donât use sad lemon, iâm in the US and so I donât buy from places in the UK
