There was more than one book in the order. I got a Weird #1 Facsimile, some Spider-Man books, and another book which escapes me. They shipped it in their large order box, not their flip mailer. It had a thin layer of the small bubble bubble wrap and packing peanuts. The slab was damaged. The other books were all loose between the packing peanuts. Over all not a well packaged shipment.
I received a slab months ago from them that was a preorder as well. The inner sleeve had a crack going the length of it horizontally, it was their exclusive spiderman #1. Sent pictures in and they offered me a refund if I sent it back or a 50% refund and keep it. I chose the 50% refund. But yeah their customer service and overall experience has gone down hill months ago, which is why I’ve stopped using them. Such a shame.
If they offer 50% back I am gonna go through with the charge back. Unless they pay to ship it back. I am not gonna be out more money to return something that is damaged.
They might use a ticket system that processes the messages as well that could cause a delay. The auto response already sent you an email but it hasn’t showed up in their ticket queue. A lot of these companies use Zendesk, which is a effing beast of an online ticket system and sucks, cause you’re at the mercy of the provider processing tickets, etc.
I haven’t ordered from them in over a year. But, wow, it looks like they still haven’t gotten their stuff together. I’d just do a charge back and be done with it. Not worth the stress of dealing with them any further.
Not sure what you paid, but 50% might be enough to cover a reslab and shipment there and back. And then some left over.
TATs on reslabs I don’t think are too bad…weeks vice months For grading.
$49.99 so half would be $25. Shipping and regrading would likely be more. Best option is a replacement. I’d be happy to return for a refund but I am not covering shipping.
Can you even do a chargeback after that amount of time, though? I thought most/all credit cards limited chargebacks to 6 months at the very most?
They only charge when they ship so it’s only been two weeks. I am right in the charge back time frame
They ended up shipping me a new slab today. Didn’t say anything about returning the other one.
So it maybe all worked out?
I think taking to them about the charge back, I never did hear back from customer service. I just got shipping notification.
The new slab arrived today. Case is not broken. They fixed the issue.
I just got a package from TFAW today on some pre-orders and they must be doing more quality assurance cause that was the best packaging ever. Every single book looks to be a 9.8 type of book. Even the backer boards were in pristine condition.
They’re lulling everyone into a false sense of security.
I’ve been there and then Boom! Meltdown
Maybe… only way to find out is to keep status updates for those still ordering. I was just surprised this package was like top notch. Hopefully whoever packed it they keep!
I gotta say, I agree. Just got a package from them today. Top notch packaging. No damage.
They seem to be trying much harder. I got new issues in today and there was zero damage. I think they shipped that slab to me cracked, their packing people may have thought it was just the packaging that was damaged. Lol
Perhaps I shall attempt them… again.
I always had better luck with their shipping when the books weren’t bagged and boarded. It also saves you the ridiculous amount they charge for a bag and board.
