2 panel cameo on tv screens from Machine Man #7
Full appearance and in person from Machine Man #8
Named as power broker with appearance Thing #35 this book also has a new Ms. Marvel in it.
First appearance with power suit for power broker captain America #375 he grows giant about ten issues or so prior but is bed ridden until this issue when he gets the armor suit this also ties to Battlestar and continues in Captain America #376
Maybe first White Wolf gets a pop too.
Which White Wolf? Haven’t there been several? I’m guessing BP4 as all the cheap copies have been bought up on eBay.
Listed a real low grade Machine Man 7 yesterday that I paid a $1 for and it just sold for $20.
The Thing #35 has never been a super easy book to find in the wild from my experience. Because it is the first of Sharon Ventura/New Ms. Marvel it always had a bit of attention before.
I hope Black Panther #4 “white wolf” does heat up as that is another cyclical spec book we’ve talked about for a few years. I have a stack of those I’ve accumulated.
About a month ago, I bought an entire run of Captain America Issues #300-400 all boxed up together. All beautiful copies. Only paid $125 for the run. That ended up being a very good purchase.
@Alana Thank you for the quick insight/updates with this stuff. It is appreciated!
So we get Isiah and Eli Bradley? Another young avengers in the mix now?
I’m still very intrigued by Isiah Bradley. The Truth Series was so good imo, and very overlooked. The ship has sort of sailed now though, but as I said prior, look for them at your shops.
But here’s the thing, if they cared enough to bring Isiah Bradley into the mix…then there is no reason they can’t bring his son Josiah X in at some point. We’ve seen Rhodey already…Josiah works alongside Rhodey.
Sure, not everyone can appear, don’t overpay, it’s clearly just spec, but I really suggest finding yourself a copy of The Crew #1
I fell asleep early lsat night and slept a good 13 hours. I would say Black Panther #4, first White Wolf could see a bump as someone mentioned.
Battlestar is a nice touch, but its the same first appearance as John Walker, Captain America 323 as Alana mentioned
Young Avengers 1 - elijah bradley/patriot
I found a copy in back issues for $4 I sold for $25. Did I jump the gun?
@davidbitterbaum No I don’t think you jumped the gun, nice flip.
It’s purely spec on my part…book could be a complete nothing burger. I’m not the pump and dump type either, I just love thinking of obscure/what could be stuff. Many books “I” believe are important are deemed worthless lol.
- It just isn’t a common book that you see all that often.
- If you are going to delve into the Bradley family storyline at all…it’s honestly really hard to do it without bringing Josiah into the mix. He’s Isiah’s son after all. Also, if you are going to bring Eli (Patriot) into this mix…Josiah is his uncle.
The entire Bradley family story and books are great. It’s really heartbreaking to be honest.
Did you know…the entire Truth story/Bradley story is sort of loosely based on the horrific Tuskegee Experiments of WWII…sickening.
Another aside, one of the greatest “chills” moments in comics for me…was when Isiah shows up to Storm and Black Pather’s wedding and the African-American heroes are in absolute awe of him…yet the white heroes know nothing of him.
Truth has been a nice flip for me. Now I’m sitting here staring at a 9.6 newsstand Cap 333 that I intended to keep in my PC that is starting to tempt me to list on eBay. I guess it just depends on how crazy the next week or so goes.
This is also a repeat as Alana already mentioned it, but Karli Morgenthau is a gender swapped Karl Morgenthau who is the Flag Smasher. Captain America #312
Captain America #333 is the first appearance of John Walker as Cap
Truth #1 First Isaiah Bradley (loved seeing this make the MCU)
The Crew #1 which has been wiped out on eBay.
and I think that catches up on everything
For my own personal curiosity…does anyone have access to that Comicchron deal that gives insight into print runs?
I’m curious as to what the numbers on The Crew #1 are?
Well before this series I could never find it at shops.
You have access to it if your online. It’s not the easiest site to navigate. I think you need to know the release date of the book in question.
So I watch with subtitles it’s nice because it tells you the names of who’s speaking. But when the teenager answers the door at the Bradley’s it doesn’t say Eli on the captions it just says boy.
IMDB shows him as Eli Bradley.
IMDb is editable by anyone like wiki. It’s just weird I thought to not name him in the subtitles by name.
