Vaccine......Yes or No?

Um, effective at exactly what it said in the parts you deleted, preventing cases of covid. What a weird post lol

You can offer the ladies nose hair rides instead of mustache rides.

Want me to measure now or wait another few years? It sucks getting old… Your ear hair gets longer and bustier too… We need an ear disease next so I can get away with wearing ear muffs everyday too…

My area of expertise is that in both cognitive function and swallow function (I’m a Speech-Language Pathologist). Seeing a significant number of folks with issues relative to both of these areas. Obviously, many folks don’t necessarily die from Covid…but having fairly significant life altering deficits in the areas I mentioned is a big deal.

I struggle with this topic… I’m fully vaccinated and ok with it, but also directly contradict myself as I also was hesitant and worry.
I continue to have some fairly serious health issues related to varied drugs I was literally forced to take in the Marines. I was told that shit was safe too.

I can relate to folks with the “my body…my choice” as well.

I also think it’s an absolute pipe dream to tie “opening up” to vaccination numbers. Folks that aren’t going to get the vaccine are not going to get it. You aren’t going to coerce or bribe them into it.
Here in Michigan they set a goal of 70%… that’s laughable. Not a shot in hell. Last year we didn’t have but about 36% on the flu shot. We are at around 40ish percent now for Covid. There are vaccines readily available…the folks that wanted it, got it. We run a walk in, open clinic every single day. They announce it on the hour like a damned k mart blue light special. It’s at a trickle now. Vaccines are expiring on the shelves.

Anyway… I could talk for days on it I guess. I saw too many old Vets die from it. Sure they were old and fragile…they would have died soon enough…but they went before I feel they should have and it saddens me.
Had quite a few Covid non believers and their families…that mentality went out the door once they were talking intubation or funeral plans. Funny how that shit works when it hits home.

Enough out of grumpy Devildog…back to my comic spec dreams that never pan out.

I didn’t even think of that. You think the wife would get mad if I created a Bumble profile and put that in it?

So then let’s vaccinate the people that are actually at risk… old people and those with comorbidity risks.

And for people who have received the vaccine, the government is still saying they should continue to wear masks, practice social distancing and avoid people as much as possible

Here is a fabulous article on all the horrible diseases we all were vaccinated for.

Most of these diseases would be wholly eradicated from this planet, if the poor countries were able to afford to protect their citizens from preventable disease.

Vaccines work.

That’s not how vaccines work. You really need to research this instead of listening to whatever sources you are listening too. :man_shrugging:

Maybe…jury is still out whether a vaccinated person who doesn’t develop symptoms can shed the virus.

If that comes back true (does not shed), whole new ballgame.

Sometimes I wonder if you are talking to an imaginary friend in your responses. You keep saying I don’t trust science. Your comment about who to sue if you get Covid has nothing to do with what I said. But yes, I’m the unreasonable one.

You missed the point again.

I don’t shave much anymore.

And doesn’t sticking your tongue out touch your mask? That’s just a step away from licking your own boogers…

You don’t lick your own boogers? You don’t know what you’re missing!

My point is that most of the vaccines don’t even prevent Covid…so if that was what the original post said, then I’m saying that is untrue. Is that less weird for you?

I’m just too scared to get it based on medical issues. My whole house got the virus and we were fine and stayed home. Going forward I’m going to keep my distance from people and wear a mask regardless of restrictions.

Well you can say most of the vaccines don’t prevent Covid all you want and no matter how many times you repeat it you are still wrong dude lol

I don’t have boogers cause I eat them all. Its the only thing keeping me alive since @anthony forgets to feed me some weeks…

I’m sorry if I misread you. Please explain how I missed your point here. :point_up_2:

You speak of suing because the ‘goverment made sure’. Again, You need to stop confusing politicians and scientists.

You seem to think people that are against this vaccine are against all vaccines and against science. :man_shrugging:

That’s because your arguments would suggest as much. :man_shrugging:. I digress. I’m not your neighbour. We need not worry about each other’s communities. Best of luck, my friend. :beers:
