Which ones?
No one is saying you have to take it. The question was have you.
If you get the vaccine, you are still putting people at risk because most of the vaccines don’t actually give you immunity, they just reduce the effects of the vaccine on your body. Unless you want to wear a mask and social distance and shit down the economy for the rest of your life.
Agree.
As a member of of civil society, it is your responsibility to be a part of that community and do your part to keep your tribe safe from preventable disease. It’s a moral obligation to your duties as a member of society. If you want to be an incubator for a deadly virus, then remove yourself from the civil society that you want to infect.
Who does it harm? What % of the population that is under 65 and/or without preexisting conditions actually dies from Covid?
I thought I stated I was going to continue wearing a mask and I social distanced before COVID… I don’t like people near me or being to close to others.
In crowds, even years from now I’ll probably continue to wear a mask to protect me and others.
I’ma wear masks no matter what. People are nasty.
@nonlinear, my friend…just…no. Some of your statements sound so wrong. I’m not getting paid to argue with you like at my old public health jobs so I’m not gonna bother. I’m just gonna do a GIF now that I know how to do them…
Effective at what?
Oh, one other note. I am happy that mask wearing is becoming more normalized. May be handy during flu season.
Governments and scientists are two wholly different professions. You can’t be using the government as an excuse not to trust science.
Who exactly do you ‘sue’ if you die from covid? Can someone ‘sue’ you if you infect them with covid?
Can’t reason with unreasonable. I digress.
Also, this thread has gone well but it is threatening for this to happen…
I can’t be stopped with the GIFs! You’ve created a monster, @agentpoyo!
I know a cure for loss of appetite. It’s called Cannabis.
Yes, the virus is worst for people with bad immune systems. I don’t think I have ever once heard a government official tell people what they should be eating/supplementing to boost their immune system. Why?
That’s your cure for everything
I like masks. I no longer have to fake smile at people at the grocery store, I can stick my tongue out at assholes in stores who act like turds and its saved me so much time in not having to trim my nose hairs that hang out my nostrils.
…how long do your nose hairs get? Wow.
What the 95% actually means is that vaccinated people had a 95% lower risk of getting COVID-19 compared with the control group participants, who weren’t vaccinated.
One common misunderstanding is that 95% efficacy means that in the Pfizer clinical trial, 5% of vaccinated people got COVID. But that’s not true; the actual percentage of vaccinated people in the Pfizer (and Moderna) trials who got COVID-19 was about a hundred times less than that: 0.04%.
You would think it’s a mustache. It’s not.
