Venom #27 3rd print FOC ends today

I’m just gonna stop sharing my comic speculation. Instead, my FOC picks each week, I think I’m gonna talk about Hot Wheels instead… makes perfect sense… yeah… HotWheelsHeatingUp.net… oh wait, now I’m gonna ruin my Hot Wheels speculation, so maybe I’ll talk about Care Bears instead…

Let’s just shut’er down and keep the info for ourselves @Anthony since there’s no reason to run a site if we can’t talk about our speculation.

I collect LOL, 80s 90s Metal shirts, statues, toys, comics, wrestling autographs, goth/industrial autographs and concert posters, so there’s a site for everything.

You misunderstood my statement. I’m saying your traffic today is significantly greater today than a year ago. Which makes the example from a year ago moot.

Haha this was not meant as an insult at all to CHU :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: but merely to help make my point that CHU does not control the industry and V’s overestimation on what becomes of the info shared here.

Nano-pets having more users. Those are dueling words. Someone bring out the dueling pistols.

No insult taken. It was all in good fun.

Anthony’s statement on 1 million views was for the forums alone. The traffic on the main CHU site has been over a million views each year for several years. So you’re not understanding that CHU has had millions of views prior to the forums even existing for the site. The forums are relatively new addition to the site and did start off slow, until the recent explosion.

You make some valid points. I’m not trying to say CHU is solely responsible. Plenty of YouTubers are contributing to this situation too. As are other forums and groups.

I’m just trying to get people to think a little about what they’re doing before they do it. We could be contributing to over supply in the industry and that’s not a good thing for the hobby.

And I’m not a pump and dumper, I’m a mid- to long-term holder. But, I would much rather hold a book with a 50,000 print run than a book with 100,000+. I think we all would.

My son has 20 pair of lebrons. Most don’t even fit him anymore. Like why can’t I sell them. And not to mention his numerous baseball bats. Don’t get me wrong I think he needs the four basic bats. Two heavy for power hitting. 2 lighter for contact hitting on fast pitchers, USA and USSSA certifications for different tournament but he has 8 bats. Some he swung a few times and hated.

The point being, just like my sons bats and fresh Lebrons he grew out before he could wear on the court, sell your husbands stuff.

And mind you, I paid for all my sons stuff.

So I should sell my ASM #300? It’s probably got a print run in the millions…

Totally agree with you. I’m not saying we’re the main problem, but we are part of the problem.

I LIKE THE VENOM 27 3RD PRINT COVER!! I JUS WANTED TO RESTATE THAT SINCE THE THREAD TOOK A TURN AFTER I POSTED!! :joy:

Just so you get an idea of the main site (not the forums), the main site is almost averaging 300k views a month… you can do the math. The 1 million views is not the entire site growing in the past 6 months, but rather the forums are growing. The main CHU site has been pretty established website with millions a view per year since around 2014…

So, please don’t question me about the website stats that I have direct access to and am the tech administrator for. I’m fully aware of the websites views and statistics, trends in growth, etc. I’m the guy who use to have to spin up new clustered nodes on Tuesday nights cause the traffic would literally almost take the site down on spoiler Tuesdays…

CHU is the SOLE reason Something is Killing the Children had a higher print run then what it did the day before FOC. Because of CHU this title went from 30k to 42k in 3 days!!

Now look at the series. This book is Hot as F*&K. The entire series is. All because they talk Pre FOC. Publicly. Hell i think someone even said they cancled their orders of the title because CHU ruined it. Wonder how hes doing …

I see. My apologies.

Your ASM 300 came from an era when the hobby destroyed itself.

I agree with your assessment of YouTubers and other websites/apps (cough :key: collecter) being much bigger problems for this particular problem and even monitizing their platforms for that information.

When the comics heating up forum becomes the next Twitter I want 10% @Anthony

1988? Pretty sure comic industry implosion occurred around 1992-1993… and it was Spider-Man #1 that caused it…

Pfftt… @Anthony doesn’t realize it but he already signed over 99.9% to me… while he was drunk at the last NYCC…
