Thinking about it more, grading new modern books would be like grading the softness of newborn baby skin at the hospital… they’re all perfectly soft!
Except Marvel babies, lol. They are dinged up right out of the box due to the cheap cover paper.
I think it’s about making money? Not what’s most fun.
I think they get enough business with the older stuff they’ve basically given up on the modern. But that’s where the majority of new customers are going to come from, and they’re pushing them away.
I think they had an Opportunity to stick it to CGC, and handed the ball right back to them.
Yup I think you’re right…when cbcs made a big deal about times, and created that new page explaining the differences in cbcs vs cgc, they were actually shorter TATs than cgc, but seem to have just given up?
Steve left CBCS to MCS. Just waiting for them to roll out a 3rd grading company (that’s right, I just dissed pgx).
Have you seen this book from the C2E2 convention:
Ultimate Fallout #4 Acetate Facsimile Clayton Crain C2E2 exclusive CGC 9.9. The book is the facsimile with an acetate cover Stapled to it and CGC still graded it a 9.9.
thoughts?
Yes, we’ve been discussin this atrocity over in the store variants topic, start around here to get caught up: We all hate store variants but - #2596 by LoveBox
Just got these in today.
16 months wait time (mostly CGC time); but very very happy. Most interestingly - no scratches, buffs, debris, cracks or any other nonsense.
Very nice. Can I buy one? Lol
2 are actually spoken for already. The 3rd I just love too much to part with … for now.
Lol don’t blame you. Thats a beautiful cover
Just a Two staple non-acetate variant? Pfffft
Very nice
Hope you didn’t buy this from that last place that hosed you over…
Nope ebay, $650 free shipping
where’s the 9.6?!
man that’s awesome! not sure what grade my 1 copy is but it’s one of the only keys i’ve had since the 90’s. what will be the fate of these beauties?
